i see it was the crucible that faile not the furnace am i correct, i didint watch the hole vid before i posted that last comment, the furnace seemed to be a complete success
glad to see you post this vid , we learn more from failer then from succes just check the stats any book on acheivment will tell you the value of failure, knowing what you cant do is just as valuable as what can be done
@NOBOX7 true that bro,yes the furnace is a success...and my welding is what made the crucible fail.I have made another with a round bottom from an old has bottle
least your learning for all of us, i got a older Rudd oil furnace i want to convert to a waste oil burner. got any tips???? wish i could help with the foundry, but thats were the whole live and learn thing applys, and i think your doing enough living for the both of us lol, when you finally get it though you will truley know from your mistakes.
@crob227 yeah i usually dont post failures but i figure it lets folks see what im up to,and i spose if they are gonna try this sort of thing-what not to do...
your oil furnace -just try and light it on waste oil straight up-see what happens-might work with no modifications...
@m3sca1 Personally I think its great that you posted this. It's not exactly a failure, it's a learning opportunity. The next version will probably be much better.
@harpbloke i was gonna try to mold a tesla fluidic valve, although given the rain and the moisture content of the sand/clay mix im pretty sure that was doomed to failure to.
