  • Great video. So much information and explained so well. Thank you.

  • Very cool. How many plants does a family of 2 adults 2 children need though?

  • Wow! 62 minutes? I skipped through and it was still too long. Cool planter though

  • agreed!!!

  • Yeah, it's beneficial to share, but I'd like to know the source of the videos so I could do some more research by looking for a web site for the guy n the video. If you have this info, please post it.

  • Great Idea!!!!! TYVM

  • You can wet your soil as you mix it. You don't have to soak it thoroughly but if it's damp it will get moist quicker once in the barrel.

There is a device called a "bulb dibble" when you plant your plants and seedlings.

If you know disabled, elderly or friends that live in a small space this is an ideal system for growing a big garden in a limited space.

  • They do make end caps to match the size of the PVC pipe you are using.

  • Thanks for the video. I've seen this type of vertical garden being used once the Philippines. Love the concept, but struggle with the cost and availability of the barrels when I work in the Philippines. It was still worth the time to watch your video. I hope I'll come across a cheaper solution for the ultra-poor. Currently we're doing container gardening, but containers are small and can't hold much water during hot days.

  • awesome stuff, but have you considered suspending filled with soil juta coffee bags?
