from ppl who has done combining bedini + generator, they are reporting that the lenz's law effect slowing down if not stopping the motor. but on the other hand, we need the speed to get the wanted voltage.
watching your video, i guess you got enough speed & torque already.. but still you have to prepare for the lenz effect.
hehehehe... as you said... the fun is in the work... have a lot of fun there mike...
from what i know about my toy, the pulsing motor hardly got a nice torque, but then it may be due to i was using 6v.
so, i think the spiral give a nice muscle there.
you also commented that... if you start w/ a slow speed, it will remain like that. this give me a more evidance that the pushing magnet just doing their job as the cant put extra speed. i'm guessing that the pulling magnet can give extra speed but not the torque. how about combining it? let say 30% pushing & the rest pulling?
Hi Rudi i was going over some of the older comments on my vids and noticed your mention of combining the pushing and pulling affects of the spiral and I have just recently tried that and it takes a precise combo of the two but I have had good results.
being able to turn that bike's alternator is showing me that the big guy has enough torque. i'm guessing if you are adding more arms on the big guy, you'll got more power and/or speed.
i just wondering where the torque came from? is it from the spiral magnet or from the small guy?
as for the alternator it self, the easiest way is to put another coil at the back of your bedini coil connected w/ iron rod(just as in my project). by doing so, you'll got extra output for "free". good luck w/ it.
I'm really glad you asked the question (i just wondering where the torque came from? is it from the spiral magnet or from the small guy? ) because I've been wondering that myself and I'm preparing several test to see if the spiral in fact is a help or not. I do know that from previous tests it does help the system along but I do believe that most of the torque comes from the smaller rotor.

you realy need to go thinking in WATT's.
you can use this formula W=V*A
v= voltage, A is Ampére, and W =Watt.
the 8 volts you measure wil go down when there is a load on the dynamo.

If you use stronger magnets would their be a bigger gain?

You have to do the calculation in watts.
