They fucked the shit out of this series by making this movie. They fucked up Halloween 6, so then they had to retcon the entire timeline, make this movie, which in return spawned the demon piss movie that was Halloween: Resurrection, and that sucked so bad they just went ahead and gave Rob Zombie the greenlight to remake it. Shit.

Halloween I, Halloween II, and Halloween H20 are the only sequels that keep with the original story. 4, 5, 6, and 8 are a completely different story. Michael was killed in H20. Resurrection was made to milk the series for money. No one intended for that movie to be made, other than the studio.
