the russians were 'sitting ducks'? man, that expression is used in every episode of this series. i reckon ducks must be terrified of sitting down. if i were a duck i wouldn't dare sit down under any circumstances.
Stalin may have thought he outsmarted Eisenhower, but seriously, the Red Army casualties were horrendous...I think it just goes to show the continued strategic missteps that Stalin made during the war (if I were him, from a humanistic standpoint, I would have thought Russia paid enough a price in blood to let the US slog through it).
First, I love these Lost Evidence series. However, even though I like the shows, they're a fraud. The advertise, at the beginning of EVERY episode, the aerial photos and how important they are. However, they don't use those aerial hots in any way in these shows. I'm pretty sure there's not a single minute of aerial photo examination in all of this series. WTF? Really? That's fraud, friends....false advertising.
@mjmikelson They use a bit of aerial maps in the episode about Casserine Pass and the American fight for Tunis. Very disappointing they don't use any in any of the other episodes
