Broly is a Super Saiyan, who was beaten by another Super Saiyan. Not SS2, not SS3, just a plain old Super Saiyan. From what I've seen, his power is about the same as Trunks in Super-super Saiyan form, but without the speed loss. Goku showed NONE of the tricks he had planned for Cell when he fought Broly, so i would have to figure he's not even perfect Super Saiyan for the original movie. Broly loses to even Goku at Cell games power, I figure.

@sheldons7 the reason it's so screwed up is because it's actually part of a movie, and has absolutely nothing to do with the canon of the show or manga.
Most of the better DBZ movies did follow canon to a larger degree than this one did (Wrath of the Dragon, Bardock, and History of Trunks). While some of them still stretched it a fair ways (Fusion Reborn), they did not destroy canon like the Broly movies did.

I give you that one, I don't got an answer to dispute that and 4. He had met the adult goku before, so he might have realized his mistake.

@MaxFlared: No, Goku is the LSSJ. Even Vegeta stated it many times, Goku was the legendary fighter destined to defeat Freeza. He was the first Saiyan to go SSJ in over a thousand years if I can recall correctly.
However you're right, Gohan is stronger than Goku.

Its kinda funny you say that, even though you are horribly wrong but its still funny right? Broly was stronger than all three of them combined. He was pushing it back, the only reason they won is because Trunks put up that aura shield preventing him from getting more Ki to the attack.

Nah, Goten wished him there for help. And since it was only to help them beat Broly he was sent back to the afterlife after it. Its similar to the Father Son from the cell games but just its really Goku.

@Narkusaur plot hole 1. the dragonballs grant two wishes not one. so they shouldnt have flown off. 2. shenron must appear and you have to yell your wish at him for him to hear it. 3. goten sees his father here when hes never met him in the tournament saga. and this is before the tournament. 4. broly wouldnt recognise goku. he still thinks goten is kakarot.

@054martinm 1. The dragonballs Dende made CAN grant two wishes...however one can be made and the other one saved, however the balls still go their seperate ways. 2. Shenron is a a being with its own individuality, and while he must grant the wishes of those who gather the balls, its that which make him unique, and he granted the wish without the summon. 3. I give you that one, I don't got an answer to dispute that and 4. He had met the adult goku before, so he might have realized his mistake.

@Keto26 yes but you must STATE "thats the only wish for now. until the next summoning". exactly. shenron is his own being. he has to appear. you gotta yell your wish or he wont hear you. to grant the wish without summoning is to bastardise canon rules.

@sexypapi1777 No its different than that, no one saw goku when he was helping gohan defeat cell, yeah his sprit was there but it wasnt the same as when gohan and goten blasted broly, they both saw goku, even broly did...when cell saw gohan talking to himself (when he was actually talkin to goku) cell thought he was being driven insane by fear. watch both video's you'll see

@kingofdance18 Actually it was with what dragonballs they had, and because of the good all of them had done, on top of Gotens deep desire to see the father he had never really gotten to know, Shenron heard the wish and granted it, if just for that moment in time, when their need was greatest.

@054martinm Here is the thing though...Akira Toriyama the creator of the series himself wrote the storyline for the movie...if that is the case then how can it be considered being out of canon when the man who created the series did it himself? As I said, though this time I'm stating it in plain english. Shenron acted of his own accord when granting that wish.
