The newest Photoshop out is CS4/ CS4 Extended, meaning that CS5 is the next one to come out. (later this year or next year.) They don't just jump 3 levels or even 27 levels. That is just ridiculous.

Good Tut! I did run into a small issue with applying a photo filter this way. It will not only apply the filter to the photo, but to all the layers beneath the filter. If you want it only on the photo, this will probably not work.

In photoshop, click on "window" where you'll be able to see a list of all the pallettes available.  just select the one/s you want displayed.

In CS3 it doesn't matter where you go to apply the filter, it makes it's own layer... I guess that was something new since the original tutorial...?
