  • i like your voice. that guy from tutvid has a very annoying voice.

  • all your videos are great

  • thanks :)

  • This was very helpful. Thanks for making it easy!

  • Thank You!!!

I see other people's photography and I've always wondered how to get that warm effect, I am really grateful you posted this video! :)

  • Very nice video! I'm an officer in my photo club at school. During out next meeting, we are learning about Photoshop and it is my duty to find good tutorials for the other members. This and other of your videos are on the list!

  • i love the way you explain. :D

  • very helpful.

  • n1 tu dude

  • Excellent video

  • Very informative.

  • for 100% noobs. I was looking for something better than the ones in there...

  • nice clear tutorial, I'll test it out because I'm quite new to PS....so far though, I'm not finding what I've tried quite the same as the Youtube tutorials, the information on the screen is different, especially 'saving' what change I have made, the tutorials all say '' ...then click ok''....but theres not an 'ok' or 'select' on my screen....cs4

  • brilliant way :)

  • smart !! thank u ^^

  • I wonder when Photoshop CS5 is available for dowloading it free, cause I'm sooooo not going to buy it. xD I want to have Apple computer too (mac), it's so cool, thought. :D

  • thats so cool

  • Lol yes he is using Mac

  • nice man r u usin mac ?

  • nice touch

  • why I can't see the "photo filter" in my cs7?

  • @Aedveoshki, maybe you can't see it because cs7 doesn't exist.

  • @abandonnez well, i have cs31, so why shouldn't he have cs7? =)

  • @tropicallanterns, 31? I just explained to someone else that cs7 isn't even out. How in the world do you have a cs with an insane number like that. The newest Photoshop out is CS4/ CS4 Extended, meaning that CS5 is the next one to come out. (later this year or next year.) They don't just jump 3 levels or even 27 levels. That is just ridiculous.

  • @abandonnez lol, I'm sorry, I didn't expect anyone to think I was being serious. I just came up with a random number as a joke. I had put the smiley to indicate I was kidding. Sorry for the confusion

  • hi howard, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I hope you keep on doing your great work. Coz it hepled me a lot, I've learned so many techniques from you. Just ignore those unkind comments they are just sad beings who can't accept one's success. Arigato!

  • I hope you're not being serious. I can say whatever I want in my videos. Who are you to tell me what I can and cannot say?

  • What idiotic comments, this tut is great, and helpful, good job. and I agree you can say whatever you want in the context of a tut.

and for this kid ... the UN verbal abuse has better things to do than checking youtube ....

  • haahaha your awesome, if i was gay i would go all over for you, but sadly im not, and sadly your not a girl, but ur still awesome

  • @IceflowStudios "We're Screwed" lol nice!! lol but good tutorial!!

  • @IceflowStudios i was wondering, is there any point in not using adjutment layers all the time? as far as i can see there is no benefit in changing the image in a destructive manner. why dont they just make it so that every adjustment you make is automatically a non destructive one? i assume there is a reason??

  • Good Tut! I did run into a small issue with applying a photo filter this way. It will not only apply the filter to the photo, but to all the layers beneath the filter. If you want it only on the photo, this will probably not work.

  • Howard you are top knotch. Thanks for posting these helpful tutorials.

  • I have Photoshop 7.0 and there is no Photo filter mode/adjustement do i need to reinstall Photoshop or is there a way to fix it in version 7.0

    Thanks in advance

  • maybe 7.0 is too old and it doesn't have that feature?

  • y, fixed i downloaded cs4 now ;)

  • what do you buy/use to get photoshop?

Im thinking about starting so if someone could help me that'd be great.

  • Money, obviously.

  • amazing!(:

  • Very helpful. Really like it! =)

  • Thanks for this, it was great!!

  • ooooohh.. so THATS wat the filter was!

    thanks alott! :]

  • hey dear.. dats nice but i have got photoshop 7.0 its not der in it.. photo filter option.. is der anyother way to do dat.. plz tell me

  • do you mean that you have photoshop elements? b/c elements is a basic version of photoshop and doesn't offer the same features that premium does,

  • This may be a stupid question but i have cs4 version 8.0 but i don't know hot to make these windows on the right appear!!! Please help me - i'm new at this!!!

  • In photoshop, click on "window" where you'll be able to see a list of all the pallettes available. just select the one/s you want displayed.

  • i like colouring my images and i use a LOT the photo filters, thank you for the tutorial anyway, your channel rock.

  • Thank you, very helpful

  • Then you're the idiot for having found the wrong video and not entering the correct search terms. The video teaches exactly what it says in the title, and almost 900 ratings with an average of 5star must be some indication.

  • "you're SCREWED" XD

  • LapTop hehe

  • Probably one of the most important tutorials you have shown us,..Thank you so much!!!

  • hiii i cudn't find photo filter in photoshop 7 :(

  • the dialox box doesent open for me. when i click on photo filter.. from adjustment at bot of page. ... but it does from image > ajudstment

    HELP pLOX thx

  • Shut up.

They're trying to help people you dickhead

  • some very childish commenting below : ( As usual, clear and easy to understand video, I haven't found much use for the filters yet. In CS3 it doesn't matter where you go to apply the filter, it makes it's own layer... I guess that was something new since the original tutorial...? Now that CS4 is out I guess CS3 will be left in the dust.. oh well! A day late and a dollar short! Thanks again Howard!

  • Never used the luminosity function. Thank you for explaining it. AWESOME!

  • Freaken... AMAZING!!! :D I love you!! I've been wanting to know how to use the filter to make the colors of my background later but couldn't. XP Thank you so much!
