Russell sounds amazing on this song. I bought the album for the songs "The Clap", "Going Up" and "Furry Walls". I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are all good. "Searching for a Father" and "Bangers, Beans and Mash" are surprisingly mooving. Great job to Russell, all fo the musicians and collaborators.
@MusicKnowsBest No, they're not. They're only songs have been on Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek. They are a fictional band, and all of their songs are writting by Judd Apatow.
@TheTylerGeissler Actually, some of the songs are written by Jason Segal (How I Met Your Mother, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall). "SUPERTIGHT", "INSIDE OF YOU", "GOING UP", "BANGERS, BEANS & MASH" for example.
A truly beautiful man...his voice, his lyrics, his acting, his autobiographies..he has it all of what a human can experience, both in brightness and darkness of the body, mind and soul. .This man is a soul who has lived and triumphed evil battles within himself, but now he is thriving, and not in a celebrity sense, but a soulful manner. What a fascinating soul.
@SickBritKid dude, he worked for bbc music until his radio show got canceled due to him and his co worker prank called people saying stupid shit all in all, i call this music as professional as it is, its a hell of alot better than some of the mainstream music i've heard
@SickBritKid A lot of people can have more than one profession. Rob Zombie, for instance, is a vocalist and a movie writer/director. Katt Williams is a stand-up comic and an actor. So on...
@GodessOfGeass he said that HE can't remember her name now, which is referring to Reagan's Alzheimer's. Nancy was Reagan's wife. But he's dead now, so it doesn't really make much sense anyway.
Okay, there's a background melody in here (heard clearly at 0:59-1:01) that is driving me insane because it sounds JUST like a Neil Diamond song. Can anybody help me out?
@cand86 I'm just gonna hazard a guess here, but: Considering the thematic thing goin' on here, how about "Coming To America," or whatever it's called, from the remake of "The Jazz Singer" that Neil starred in?
Probably my favorite song.
