good performance too bad the brothers didn't do more together since then but in some of the older J5 tunes, Michaels voice had changed and his adult voice didn't cut it.

@thejedpower contrary to what some think, Michael's voice did get lower and sorry, but he just didn't hit the notes in those original keys on some of the songs. But what does anybody expect, he was a ittle kid when he origianally sang them.

@thejedpower You can totally tell the MJ's voice got lower, he was like 41 when this concert was recorded. Because of that he had to change and tweak the song to fit that. I'm not saying there was a dip in quality but listen to the 60's-70's versions of the songs he sang compared to this. It's different. And he seemed to not even try to hit those notes because he knows what his range was in 2001 and it isn't the same as what it was 30 years prior.

Someone asked for an example of what I think was not up to Michael's standards, my first impression was 'I Want You Back' as the raspy sound wasn't as good as the smooth sound he had has a kid but after listening to it again, it sounded better to me the second time but still not as good as the original.

@kentaappel That's because since his voice changed, he had to change his singing. This song was written for his younger voice. He'd have to rewrite the whole melody to make it fit his voice. If you listen to his solo songs, you'll hear his voice isn't bad.

It's too bad that the concert was canceled and MJ died because the movie does show you who MJ was and the love he has for his family.

In fact, there was gonna be a portion of the show with the Jackson 5 in there with him, or so I think. There's one part where MJ's rehearsing in front of a 70's animated logo of the Jackson 5.

I love the show here a lot though, it's less formal much like the old days of the J5.

So glad they were able to get together for this performance after 17 years. None of them knew it would be their last performance ever as an intact group. Incredibly sad, but also so moving when they hold hands as brothers at the end to take what turned out to be their final bow together.
