Highlights from Farnborough Airshow 2008

i was here the same time did you remeber the euro fighter typhoon it was so cool

but the vulcan was so loud my ears got stuck first the vulcan went a long wey and then it came back and it had a big noise we are going in some air show this year

I was there that day too, and the traffic getting in was horrendous, I think it took me around and hour and half to get in.

Oops - good job someone's paying attention. I should have stuck with F-16 instead of getting my hornets and falcons all mixed up - sorry about that!

Thanks for making, I went on Saturday and thought it was brilliant, but my camera isn't that good so it was hard to look back at the flying but now i've been able to look back at it all, thanks. :)

Thanks for the comment - it's the first time I've filmed aircraft. Normally I film birds, which tend to hide all the time - I think I might do airshows more often now!

Many thanks for the comment. I wish I'd filmed a few more of the aircraft now. The camcorder was an afterthought as I didn't want to spend all my time faffing with the camera instead of enjoying the show. Really glad I did though. My biggest regret was running out of tape before the gliders display. They were doing amazing things while being towed, it was fantastic.

I saw the gliders last year or was it the year before!? Anyway, they were awesome, spectacular. It seemed a shame to miss this years show, especially with the Vulcan!

Hi - many thanks for the comment. I had a look at yours - the sound's come out really well, especially on the Vulcan. I'm jealous of your Eurofighter landing too - I had to cut mine short as I got a load of heads in the shot.

That got extremley anoying, and being short as well I struggled to get a lot of landings.

I was most disappointed with my Airbus take-off - I really wanted to get the sense of the power of the engines, but it all went pear-shaped half-way down the runway so I had to cut all that out until I got a clear shot just as she took off :(

Nice quality film. Looks great in standard playback as well. What camera were you using? My mini dv looks pants compared to this :)

Hi - thanks for the comment. The camcorder is a Panasonic NV-DS15B. I've had it about 8 years. The video is edited in Pinnacle Studio and then saved as an MP4 file at best quality setting - so this one was 179MB to upload.
