Years ago my aunt had a dalmatian mix. She was spay, but still had the desire to be a mother. My aunt introduce 2 kittens this size and the dog instantly adopted them. They were in door out door animals and every time one of those kittens left the yard the dog would go crazy barking until it came back.

This is a very dominant kitten. You can tell by his body language. His tail is held high, and his body language shows he's not afraid. I worked in a shelter that evaluated cats and dogs personalities. when he's adopted out he shouldn't be placed in a home with another dominant cat, because big problems would happen.

My neighbor's cat died painfully from car accident. Cats live less than 5 years (much less for kittens) exploring outdoors where there are animal abusers, animal control, cars, coyotes, deseases, dogs, pesticides, racoons, toxic plants to name a few. If you won't let your dog or children roam the street why let your cats who are smaller and more curious do so?!

Heh Heh - Nice. My Mum told me a story about when her cat had kittens way back in the 1930s. They were playing out in the garden when a Dalmation being walked by it'a owner stuck it's nose through the garden gate. The mother cat did nothing more than jump over the gate and onto the back of the dog. The Dalmation shot off down the road with the cat riding on it's back...Followed by the dogs owner. The cat returned to her kittens and the dog was found an hour later in the local park :)

@leohut420 I foster dogs because God didn't give me the intestinal fortitude to handle what happens to children. "Become a CPS worker! You'd do great!" Hunting down jerk parents and shooting them with a bazooka helps no one, and that's what I would end up doing I'm afraid. The way our system is now, you can easily "fix up" an animal, the govt gives kids back to the crappy parents.

Very cute! This video reminds me of a little kitten that wandered into my house once. Just strolled right in like he owned the place. We figured he must have belonged to someone in the neighborhood, because he was very lovable and tame, but apparently he went to the wrong house and decided to stay the night. What's more is that we were fostering a Schnauzer at the time, and even HE didn't know what to make of this little random kitten. XD

Im a shelter volunteer, had a hyper dalmation as a teenager. Thank you so much for posting this video, thank you for what you do, your amazing. I also appreciate that your fostering pit bull puppies bcuz I walk and socialize them every time Im at the shelter. You did a great job with Diesel and its great to watch him with the kitten.

@MrBigoutlaw That is great that you help dogs at shelters , they can use all of the attention they can get while they are in there . I volunteer at my local pound on my free time and try to help them get adopted out into good homes. If I could take all of the animals home with me than I could ,it is so sad watching them sit in the cages but all you could do is try to make them feel loved and hope they all make it out .

@munton321 We have two dalmatians , and a german kelpie-catahoula leopard curr mix . Right now we have two foster beagles and one ended up being pregnant when we rescued her so now there is also 8 newborn beagle puppies . The other beagle is about to be adopted so we will have four dogs and 8 puppies . I also petsit every once in a while so sometimes we have more . We also have a few rabbits and in the spring I rehabilitate and release a few wild animals , like baby birds , squirrels , exc .

@shantiz123 they had ear mites ,respitory infections ,coccidia and their owners dumped them all at a high kill shelter when they were only 4 weeks old , and at this specific shelter they put down anything that doesnt have a rabies tag on ,so of course the kittens were to young to get their rabies vaccine and the mom did not have a tag either .There is a vaccine that helps prevents them from getting respitory infections ,I know, I am a vet tech .They were not properly taken care of .

Bless you for saving! I do feline hospice work, chinese med and behavioral work w/cats for 20+yrs including shelter work. Over 80% of kittens are exposed & carriers to feline rhinotracheitis, some end up symptomatic, some don't. Every time a cat is impounded to a shelter they get the FVCRP vax & then a booster in 2 weeks and many still come down with the virus.This particular part of the compounded vaccine is not worth much, unfortunately. It is a part of life, just as kids get sick.

@danielle1375 Also, most feline adults carry coccidia as well, hence probably how the kittens got it. I believe the people did not give vet care to the cats.

PLEASE don't misinform the public and make a kitten with a URI out to be some strange occurrence..Guess how many adoptions you forfeit by stating that if a kitten has a runny eye he is unadoptable..Rescue is heartbreaking. thanks for helping save lives!

@shantiz123 Sorry for missinforming anyone ,I just think it would of helped if the kittens and mother would of have been taken care of better .If the owners just didnt want to have kittens they should of have just spayed the mom .One of my rescued beagles ended up being pregnant .She whelped 9 ,they have fading puppy syndrome and only 3 are alive at this moment but still fighting for their lives . Havent slept in two days trying to keep the pups alive ,and hoping they pull through .

It is overwhelming-try to make sure to take care of yourself..It is so easy to experience "compassion fatigue" in rescue..thank you for having such a huge heart.. I wish mandatory spay and neuter would help this overwhelming crisis and putting a ban on breeding...

@KJ7FrozenHeart I cant give you an exact answer but most within a few years , some less than a year .About the demant it really depends on if there is alot of places in your area to work at .The reason I got mine is to help me with zoology .It is worth the time and money in my opinion and is great job if you like to work with animals .It was really easy for me because I volunteered at a spay and neuter clinic for a few months when I was a teen and learned alot from the vets .
