(to add the the "top comment" above) I was just watching CNBC, 11/18/2011, and they were talking about Youngstown, Ohio currently has the highest poverty levels per population amonst the largest metropolitan areas in the nation. Pretty sad.
@mcrowell303 Politicians are a huge part of it. If we have a government, (Mr. Obama as an example) that continues to spend money that we DON'T HAVE, then obviously that is going to make the dollars you're working your ass off for, worthless. I work 3 jobs, so I know what its like to work my ass off. Its politicians, and the dumb asses that don't pay attention to the policies these idiots have before they vote.
quit blaming politicans, yall sound like crybabies complaning all the time. i work my ass off too for what i have. obama doesnt control anything we do, we do.
@mcrowell303 Who makes the regulations for the business's? Government. The government makes the regulation, the business's move where there are no regulations (Mexico), then there goes the jobs to the place with no regulations. Government has alot to do with jobs.
i understand what hank is sing about we as americans bust our ass every day to make ends meet we stand up for our country, then we get a fucking asshole like obama in office. i am a buisness owner i bust my ass every day to take care of my family and my customers needs and i still loose my house due asshole political bullshit mortgage compinies call pull because of obama, i love my country but fuck our goverment and the high polutant politicians
This is some straight up Brierfield, Alabama junk! Ha! Everybody I know is in this shit! & I'm not being racist at all when I say this, FUCK YOU BARACK OSAMA OBAMA WHAT THE HELL EVER YOU WANNA CALL HIM! :) That is all! <3 & No, I am not just some dumb ass hillbilly! I am in what is known as the working class! & when Obama was elected all the jobs that I know of were given to either Mexicans or Black people! Sorry, y'all know it's true! So, please by all means, cuss me all you want! K, Thanks! :)
yes this is what happened to miramichi also though we have stuff to thrive by our town use to be a mill town now its nothing just a place to visit sad thing to happen in new brunswick canada and im only 19 and i see this coming a mile away if our world does not get better were going into a turmoil down slide as fast and hard as we can go
i'm from what was once called STEEL VALLEY, but is now referred to as the RUST BELT, Youngstown, Ohio, one time there were blast furnaces as far as the eye can see, miles of steel mills lined up side by side used to run along the ohio river, THOUSANDS of jobs and great communities were thriving, but now there is NOTHING. Ghettos are everywhere, white people are acting like niggers and half the houses are abandoned or boarded up. What have we become? we need a Manufacturing Party not a Tea Party.
@yfz450mane Its not that we need a manufacturing party instead of a tea party.. lol Its that we need to get rid of this piece of shit we have in office and we need to decrease the governemtn size and lower taxes in order to have small businesses and have communities thrive.
@hillbilly786 He isn't responsible for "all" of this, brother, no one person is, and besides, Obama was a teenager when the steel mills began closing in this country. I'm no economist but, i think, we should raise tariffs/or put a tax on these bastards who send their products here, at least even the playing field, then maybe the greedy fucks who shipped our jobs overseas might start opening shop around here again.
fuck ya i rig too, and its only gonna get worse. i live in sask canada and you know what, i work hard fo rmy money and it goes to shit, mother fuckers dont work for their money
good damn song wish more people would see it im only twenty and not one of my friends have a clue i work in rigging and see these factory's moving everyday when we going to stand up people and make it known they need to help us the working man the guys working two jobs and still hurting god bless the old america say hi to the new one p.s fuck that nigger president
This is a different world than that of our grandfather's. They came home from WWII and got jobs in manufacturing, and they bought new cars, houses, put their kids through college, and accrued a nice retirement from their jobs that required no more skills than a high school diploma. Nowadays, this story is a fairy tale, and it's a goddamn shame. We as Americans need to retool and create more jobs like these for people with just high school diplomas - our nation depends upon it. Go Hank!
yea I think this song explains alot about the way things used to be alot better for America jobs better econmy and just better all around befor politics has ruined the country . And he sings a story about this country when it was in a better shape when he was younger and now look at it what it has become
unemployment and tax tax tax the hard working popole that made this country .
Hank sings it like he sees it and that is what makes him a great star
Wow. I was blown away and surprised when I first heard this. Great song, even though I'm not a big Jr. fan.
