well, mac. its like this...
Kraut SS infiltrated the pickets with captured GI fatigues, field jackets, weapons and even some jeeps. They posed as MP's at crossroads and redirected convoys toward their lines. They moved road markers and created confusion. Against the Geneva Convention: no POW status. GI's set up a system of signs and countersigns which had to be answered correctly. asked Q's only an American would know ans to. Kraut???
