I am a happy owner of the htc hero and for me it is the iphone killer. Android is the best and with the android 2.0 update (eclair) the hero will kick some butt mostly because of google maps navigation. I really love my htc hero. Forget the overpriced and hyped iphone. HTC is the one for you and everyone!!!

The unlocked versions are not North American banded. They'll work on T-Mobile or AT&T, but you'll be stuck on EDGE all the way through.

Yes it does! Just switched it on and it knows where I am via GPS and I'm indoors! It shows me the weather and one screen did just that. Still getting to know the phone and having trouble with seeing the storage card on the computer (so I can upload music etc) even though the computer knows it is connected and have not found how to remove apps yet. (there are loads available) If you get one then make sure you have a data deal as it needs to get data all the time, not that it seems to use alot -
