  • That's an epic commercial!

  • Can someone post a link with the entire interview with james woods an tom snyder shown in the end

  • He is George. He will always be George.

  • i love him !

  • lol dave wouldnt let go of his hand after he finished singing

  • Martina McBride was recently on Letterman (October 2011).

  • I thought he was just lip syncing at first lol, that's just incredible.

  • hiring jason alexander is the best career move seinfeld ever made

  • @grelleezy yea and dont forget "Kramer"

  • mcDLT, might cause hair loss

  • Comment removed

  • Jason is also an experienced magician.

  • Not to bad, was he here like giving his shot at a musical carrier, I bet his mam insisted on it.

  • I love him. Huge talent

  • why has america got so many talk show's and there all the same with the same guests you can never keep up.

  • @steveo198632 Well, way back in '82 Letterman WAS different, tweeking the Johnny Carson/Tom Snyder talk show conventions and having offbeat guests. Now everyone imitates his old style, while he's more like Carson was now (not that there's anything wrong with that).

  • McDLT came out in 1985. It was very good. They should bring it back.

  • I was kinda hoping he would sing the McDonald's ad... :)

  • Wow crazy blt yum

  • WAT

  • boy, this guy is so gifted!

  • i had NO idea he could sing o.o

  • this is probably in 1995 [they mention dead man walking, and that movie was released in 1995]

  • he kinda looks like a communist

  • JASON CAN SING!?!? O_O

  • Hahaha, awesome! Man, who knew??

  • Thanks also for the bit of Tom Snyder. I remember watching him after Letterman sometimes. Great radio voice and so dry. Super. RIP.

  • I automaticly laugh whenever he speaks

  • Whoa, Dave mentioned Elisabeth Shue being on... the same night as Jason Alexander... in Curb Your Enthusiasm, she played his wife. Coincidence? I think SO.

  • @jxxn442 yes they did around 2:36 they mentioned it

  • Oh my god, I had no idea he could sing like that! Amazing.

  • Man i knew he was bright, but i didnt know he could express that.

  • these pretzels.. ARE MAKIN ME THIRSTY

  • great voice ,jason is one talented small guy

  • kind of difficult to reconcile this with the utter tone-deafness of "believe it or not, george isn't at home. please leave a message at the beep.."

  • This is the best rendition of The Impossible Dream, I've ever heard - incredibly passionate.

Jason Alexander sings it with more heart than Placido Domingo, Luther Vandross and Richard Kiley.

  • ...starring Jason Alexander as: George Costanza

  • And only Dyan Cannon can save him!

  • @jxxn442 I believe 1994.

  • A McDLT was a McDonald's Lettuce and Tomato sandwich, the name playing off of a BLT, Bacon Lettuce and Tomato. They made a big deal about how the hot and cold parts were seperated until you put them together. It did about as well as New Coke and Crystal Pepsi.

  • whats a dlt?

  • @cherrykitten68

    McDonald's Lettuce and Tomato

  • if i had the money...i would just pay jason alexander to come to my house and have lunch and a coffee with me...but he will be in character as George Costanza! That would be hilarious! costanza is the funniest character ever! : ) ( he would probably turn the lunch and the coffee into something paranoid and chaotic! hehehehe )

  • yeah, everyone says he is a master act acting, if he had the looks of brad pitt, he would have made some great movies, cause u see colin farrel, great looking but cant act

  • @libertineoverdose187 Gag. Brad Pitt's looks are about as overrated as your comment.

  • why is everyone clapping during basically his entire song?

  • the funny thing about this video is that Paul Schaeffer actually turned down the role of george in the 80's because he thought it "wouldn't make him any money". Great decision, paul.

  • omfg i never saw this wtf

  • Hey, this is back when Letterman used to actually be funny...you know, before he turned into a bitter, old, partisan, creep. Jason, of course, is Jason...he's just brilliant.

  • damn i never know he could sing like that

  • 4:47 LOL

  • jeesus lol

  • Jason's a multi-talented guy.

  • wow, this is what mastering your craft looks like.

  • LOL

  • thanx for this
