@NewVahan2011 We went to space pretty much to make sure that the Russians didn't get any weapons into orbit before we did. That was really the whole incentive. Then the moon was to make sure they didn't land before us, because they had already orbited it before we did. Not bashing what you're saying. Just pointing out how the war crazed minds of our government kind of led to us having the ability to travel in space.
