People are so deluded. I'm a massive Oasis fan, even I can see the whole point of this video (and it's very well done btw) is to show how shit Liam's voice is these days. It's all nasal, embarrassing. Check out Live Forever acoustic on here for MTV, truly awesome performance. To carry on saying Liam "is god" etc is just ignoring the obvious, his voice is crap because he never looked after it. Noel however still has a decent voice and his talent will carry him places Liam can only dream of.

I used to be the biggest Oasis poseur in history and I loved everything up until Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, but after that they lost their edge. Liam's voice changed for the worse, and Noel quit writing good songs. The only good song that Noel sings alone is Don't Look Back In Anger, other than that they are all forgettable. They should have hung it up in 2001.

it's amazing the way his voice has changed over the years. I think Liam and his voice were the symbol of oasis but sadly it became just a shade of what it was on the past. Noel however, who was the mastermind behind almost all the songs, has shown us that he is a great singer and a complete musician. Personally I like Noel the best, he is no 1994 Liam singing, I know, but he's awesome.

@cladisla Personally, I prefer Liam because, while both of them gave their all to the band, Liam physically ruined himself to give voice to someone else's words and ideas. IMO Noel, has saved his best work or at least his favourite songs for himself. Liam, despite the fact he was being 'allowed' to sing Noel's songs, had no such prejudice. Every song he was given he delivered as if he meant it personally.

You can debate the fine details of this, but that's all I've got to say.

i dont think its cigarettes. its the way he sang. liam is all chest voice. he has no head voice. he belts every high note. the reason why he opens his mouth so wide when singing and he takes a deep breath every line is hes using his chest voice. he doesnt have proper cord closure. a simple warm up routine like lip rolls, scales wouldve saved his voice.

Really what made his voice so unique was horrible vocal technique...Pushing way too much air with a high larynx position, sticking your chin up and out, pull your chest voice up into a register where it shouldn't be, combined with frequent dehydration from drugs and alcohol is what gave that nasally edge to his voice. I honestly am impressed with how long he was able to maintain his voice given all of those variables...I don't think he had dreams of singing in the church choir at 63 anyways...

Either way, Liam's voice is original. I was lucky to seen them twice; first time in 02 in Pompano Beach, Florida where Liam lost his voice in the beginning of the gig (Go figure) and in 08 Fairfax, Virginia where it was their last show in the US.

Over the years his voice has taken longer to recover while touring. I watched them in Manchester in 05, on the first day of the triple header at Eastlands, and he was spot on. And then I watched the second day on Channel 4 and his voice had gone significantly, cant imagine what the 3rd day was like. Watched them again in 09, where there was a bit break of a break in between and his voice was pretty ok. Looks like its been too much ciggies and alcohol! Then again,look at Brian Johnson from ACDC!

Yeah, Liam sang it not very good but me and all the fans that were there were very happy just to hear him singing. when you are standing in the crowd and Liam is standing in 30 meters in front of you it is not important if he's singing it good or bad.
