Actually the truth is, the catholic church is the one who took the eucharist from the pagan religions and trie to make it appear "christian". That is why you will never see the eucharist mentioned in the Bible. In fact that is why MOST of what catholics learn is NOT in the Bible.

Bless you brother. As a former Catholic, I know the truth of the eucharist. I a was an "altar boy" as they call them. The Eucharist is considered the actual Body and Blood of Christ in the Catholic church. Their are man things they do that are contrary to the Word of God. Like praying to the saints, and the rosary, and the lie that if you are divorced you cannot take part in communion. The lie of purgatory and calling a man a "father". They also do not teach to read nor do they teach the bible.

patrick, there are many instances in scripture where angels, heavenly figures, etc. are called-upon in prayer. The book of Revelations is ripe with examples, for instance.

They don't teach the Bible? Are you sure you used to go to Mass? Because a reading from the Old Testament, a reading from the Gospels, and a Second Reading is ALWAYS read at every instance of the liturgy.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enlightens you to these wisdoms; your knowledge on such things is lacking.

You cannot name one instance where an Angel is called upon in prayer. Their is not one instance when a saint was prayed too nor does anyone encourage man to do so. No man comes to the Father except through the Lord Jesus Christ. You must enter through the Sheep gate only and pray to the Heavenly Father through the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ only. None of the Apostles including Mary can help you. They are only in the cloud of witnesses. But we do not pray to them.

These scriptures do not once say to pray to Angels. Angels are the ministers of His

Word. Angels are the watchers. They do the bidding of the Lord. They do not stand in the place for the Lord to recieve prayer. You need to get a clue buddy. In Genesis 19:15 the Angels bring warning as Gods messengers. They are not there to be prayed to. In Revelations 11:3-12 the witnesses who are not Angels are spoken of. You are not even close to proving your point. Father help him in the Name of Jesus.

I always wonder wether R.C's are saved because they don't have the discernment of the spirit, if you will, to see all the false hoods in their church? do you know what i mean? Yes ther is much tradition and very much repetition except for Homily in the ritualistic Catholic church. Their are many scriptures listed to present a "righteous and Holy" atmosphere. But when we pray to Mary who was just a vessel chosen by God then we miss it. When we think that we do not have access boldly to the Throne of Grace through the Blood of Jesus then we trample on the work of the Cross. The word says to avoid foolish and vein repetition, something the Catholic church has perfected.

"Vain repition" refers to prayers made in vain, i.e. prayers without faith or purpose. Else why would Christ teach us a prayer (the Lord's prayer) that one would recant word for word, time and time over? Even Christ himself repeated himself in prayer when he prayed:

Matthew 26:44: "And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words".

Again, please read your Bible in context. The key words here: "vain repitition", not "repitition" alone.

If you paid attention when you are in the Catholic meetings you would see that every Sunday is a repeat of the Sunday a year before. It never changes. It is tradition and repetition. Although I do not believe everything about the Catholic Church is bad, I still believe 10% of it is good. Ha. There are many true believers who go and have not come to the knowledge of the greater Truths of the bible. You my friend need to stick to the subject and understand. Sorry gearzone, it just sounds like you haven't had a good experience with Catholics. On the other hand, I do believe that the church does have truth to it from my own personal experience. Yeah, this guy is expressing himself, but its just ranting and accusation. For non Catholics, try asking questions into why we do what we do.
