  • wtf is this?

  • i want to go back to the 90's, just for a while

  • Louise was so hot then...

  • Louise's hairdo makes her even hotter

  • Louise was such a babe back then. A shame she's kinda lost her marbles and gained a ridiculous amount of weight now. Such a bummer to see someone like that go downhill.

  • прикольные девчонки!) надо им больше пиара..

  • The only thing prettier is the Les Paul she is playing ....nah not even that .

  • Is this the same music genre as The Pixies? The harmonies sound kinda similiar.

  • They really should get back together.

  • This was a good album. Not sure why they weren't more popular.

  • @shraunbone Great album. Great live also.

  • Hoooooooooooooooot!

  • Damn.. those ladies are oh so fine!

  • @Deango2 So irresistable

  • Amazing!!!!!!!

  • Congrats VEVO, your ads are broken and preventing people from watching the videos you're promoting. Nice job...

  • They got more hooks than a tackle box! Love it!

  • Steve was so cute, i just love his hair it was nice and striaght.

  • Louise Post used to date Dave Ghrol, but Alas, she ran headlong into the dilemma that pretty much every girl who dated a cute Alt boy in a band. He dumped her for Wynona Rider

  • I don't get it? Are these the same two women from Volcano Girls? I recognise one of them but not the other one.

  • @redplague omg I hope you are being sarcastic.

  • @redplague It's them. Louise changed her hair, that's about it.

  • One of the guitarists looks like Kelly McDonald of Trainspotting fame.

  • Great song, God-awful video!

  • @JonathanLivingston84 oh hell no!

  • "...cause i'm a bad man, I do what I can..."

  • Nina and Louise where awesome together. I thought Nina sang this song originally

  • Coz i'm batman i do what i can!

Coz i'm batman i do what i can!

Coz i'm batman i do what i can!

Coz i'm batman i do what i can!

  • @Downfallen01 they are not singing batman, It's "I'm a bad man ..."

  • @FloridaLizardQueen i know :P

that was just for fun :P

  • @FloridaLizardQueen ur so serious...

  • they are so hot!

  • fuck off publicita

  • que banda para mas creativa carajo !! la mejor banda de rock mixta que buenos redobles del bateritas que deliciosos riff que voz mas rockeras amor veruca salt y el que diga que no que se vaya a la mierda !!!

  • They're so pretty, without even trying.

  • Today there is good music, in addition to AC \ DC ........ in the 90's until 2000 still good musical performances. now the bad songs are taking the world

  • Comment removed

  • this band wasnt bad. should have made it further. now we're stuck with kanye-

  • God, Louise is such a fucking babe. What is she, like 40 now? I don't even care. Louise... if by any chance you're having cougar tendencies, there is a 19 year old male who'd love to go see a movie.

  • is it true this song was written about hitler and that the birthday party is a metaphor for greed and corruption?

  • @discardmyfriends: yep. louise wrote this song after reading maus by art spiegelman.

  • @jeffinition is that true? I loved reading that

  • @83jenc yep. google "veruca salt interview with eric blair" and you'll find a video interview with louise from a couple years ago talking about it. it's actually a really great, lengthy interview. enjoy.

  • i never even listened to these lyrics til now....funny hey.

  • i came up with a theory that involves the book of genesis (fig leaves) buddha (sitting under the bodhi fig tree) jesus (many sayings about figs) ross horne's book (new health revolution) and science (figs are the most important source of food for fruit eating rainforest animals). i then experimented on the figs by eating mainly dried figs (same brand) for over 6 years now and found cycles which i related to the numbers in psgs 11/12 of the book of revelations. this theory has gone everywhere.

  • so far i have had eliminations at days 504, 840, 1176, 1512, 1848, 2184, and expect my 7th at day 2520. today is day 2299. i have definitely found something. i am not lying. what i have discovered has gone around the world and many songs have been written about it. the foo fighters last 3 albums.. vertigo byU2 (my last name is phil).. coldplays last 2 albums just to name a few. an elimination is a day when you will experience strong flu-like symptoms all day. bad stuff is washed out of your body

  • @figbat1 We all want some figgy pudding.

  • Can we pay them to get back together?? :P

  • I agree, together them were great. I too missed them in the 90's. MTV, mainstream radio...betray musicians everywhere!

  • I might get a lot of flack for this but....Nina and Louise need to get back together again and rock out. Radio and music sucks without these two playing TOGETHER. Time may not heal old wounds but man...these girls and this band could have been SOMETHING...NOW.

  • My first teenaged crush. Nina Gordan.

  • aahhh i wish i was a teenager during the 90s...this stuff is soo much better then the auto tuned crap thats on the radio now a days...

  • i need a chicks like this

  • nina gordon= HOT

  • what ever happened to Veruca Salt? are they Managing a Berger King now or something?

  • @Attercop47 They're still playing shows, dude.... lol.

  • oh my god, they are so great.

  • I'm here to watch a Veruca Salt vid and they're pushing Sade on me?..I hated that crap THEN,like I've switched to crap?

  • 3:10 jajaj lol

  • I always dug them! Still kicking myself for never going to see them! :(

  • @rmas32 yeah, me too!!

  • Isn't it strange how bands like this, that are NOT heavy metal, are HEAVIER than actual heavy metal bands?

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN Uhhh...explain that one.

  • Where is my TV? In the trash, where it belongs!

  • What are some Veruca Salt songs that Nina Gordon is lead vocalist on?

  • @WhiteKnight20121 mainly the ones she wrote. It used to be half and half credits between Louise and Nina songs per album, but the most popular are hers (Nina)

  • Kids nowadays are lame...in 10 years the'll realize how much bullshit their generation really was!!! ; P

    Long live the cool 90's!!!

  • i missed A LOT in the 90's. at least i experienced some. im glad.

  • I wish Veruca Salt would get back together...

  • Bad Ass

  • I've been a fan of rock bands with female lead singers since the day i heard seether on the radio way back when.

  • chicks playin gibson running thru marshalls is a turn on ... for me atleast lol

  • here here

  • shit wish Veruca Salt played at my birthday party that would be bad ass so hot:)

  • this album is really good

  • Why the fuck are former generation x'ers complaining about today's music? I'm sorry, but,it is what it is! What you see today is what you get today! In fact,i enjoy some of today's stuff with the likes of Lady Gaga,Ke$ha,The Ting Tings, ect. Say what you will, but i enjoy some of today's stuff. It's my opinion and i'm entitled to it!

  • @chipdrusano There are some artists that are currently half decent. I think the problem started when the corporate muck machine started squashing innovation (i.e., Sabbath's mix of rock, funk, and r&b) back in the early 80s in favor of a more generic sound that could be mass marketed. While I prefer the early and mid 90s to today, there is still innovation. Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" is genius - it almost single-handedly rehabilitated techno pop :-)

  • @chipdrusano Thats cause its marketed for the mass. Its done to "like" and its just for a while until another "like" tunes comes out and you put on the garbage the previous one. Its the era of the "recycleable" music.

  • R.I.P. VERUCA SALT

  • so many memories when the weather wasn't fucked up....miss the 90s

  • the little boy at 1:40 frightens me.

  • Paramore and Hey Monday have lot to learn from their masters Nina and Louise long way to walk !!!

  • I wish i had Veruca Salt in my birthday party :((((((

  • wow, good good vibes that keep on playin. and playin. i remember the first time i saw this vid on 120 minute's my sophmore year, i was and am enchanted. those guitars are a mesmorizing crisp fuzz, but that bass is what led odysseusses ship to the sirens.., with the screaming harmony, .. absolutely beautiful, thank you ladies.

  • Love the guitar riff . . .

  • Louise was the coolest member of the band.

  • @spooky29 OTHER then nina gordon you are probably right....

  • Isn't Buzzoven considered sludge?..and "Cannonball" from the Breeders is from around then too....

  • Nina is sooo hot...she still is

  • They kind of sound like The Breeders. Anyone know them?

  • yes 90s music i heard was retro now but its much better than the new shit manson sucks in the 00s and so does hole and this bands album from then too something about quality of the songs stopped with y2k that was the real fuck up

  • Haha I would have loved to be one of the kids in this video

  • love the bass on this song!!

  • Man, this is like the coolest and the dorkiest party ever.

  • why does youtube insist that i listen to these terrible ralph lauren commercials with god awful soundtracks? that is not going to sell me their man spray

  • haha they got quite the sludgy tone goin on !!!

  • @rjs62 exactly my band was like that guitar sound and we were trying to make a new version of grunge there for a bit called sludge just use dying distortion pedals and turn up your bass

  • All of VS videos are awesome but this one is best. I love the dual vocals. I bet the vid was a blast. Those kids are lucky. 80's and 90's music was by far the best.

  • I've noticed how everyone is refering to this decade as a bad decade in music, if you haven't noticed, it's not the 00's. So it's really not fair to say that right now is the worst decade in music is it is only the first year of the new decade, which is the year that sees the past musical trends waring off.

  • @Venomfan88 A year later...and it still sucks.

  • 1990's. The last decade of creative music. It's pretty hard to find anything today that even compares. 60's-90's is where it ended. A lot of those great bands are still making music, but the record industry ignores them and is punching out crap.

  • @FreeMTrider 100% correct.

  • @FreeMTrider Actually all of the 80s and most of the 70s was dominated by crap, its just the early to mid 90s were unique in that creative stuff actually got mainstream attention

  • How cool to have VS playing at your birthday party! I love the kids standing among the band and singing along with the song, how great is that? Most of those kids are in their 20's now. I hope they appreciate doing a video with one of the greatest bands of all time. VS rules!

  • @zuzupetals1999 Hey! I was one of the little kids in the video- the blonde one with the light green dress. I'm so proud that I was in this thing, I think this band rocks. Glad you agree!

  • Oh you are a legend by now....

  • @gutan100 awesome, if true :)

  • I remember buying the album based solely off of seether, and this became my alltime favorite VS song. One of the best albums I ever owned, besides Cake's Fashion Nugget.

  • This had to be the most fun video ever to make!

  • This is awesome!

  • I wanna knock that kid out

  • Such a great song. Isn't Louise still fronting a version of the band? I think I heard that, but it could never be as cool as the two of them together. They should just get the hell over whatever the problem was.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds look them up on .myspace verucasalt

  • I've killed your baby. I don't know how.

  • I want Veruca Salt at my birthday party.

  • @ sirius212ify You got that right!

  • LOL at the girl doing the devil horns @ 1:37

  • @Akinorev That's priceless!

  • I was a teenager in the 90's. It was the best time ever. i still ache for the days of good music. I actually went and seen them live a few times, and got to meet them. As well as elastica, lush and seeing smashing pumpkins at lollapalooza with all the original members was amazing. I was 19. Green grass, good music and fun times with like minded friends.

  • @Etherialshroud

I grew up in the 90s as well. We had it all then. We had great music from Seattle and beyond, fine television (a la Daria, King of the Hill, Simpsons, and more), and all the memories we've taken with us since then. I still have my copy of Nirvana's Nevermind from years back. I still enjoy the sultry voice of Shirley Manson, the biting cynicism of Daria Morgendorffer and, deep down, I know I'm stuck in the 90s, but I don't want to leave!

    XD. The 90s rocked.

  • @TheCanadianPrairies Shirley Manson is amazing. I loved the 90's

  • @nickownba

Shirley Manson is amazing indeed. I loved the 90s too and still do. I still listen to all that good shit, XD.

  • @Etherialshroud Damn, you saw Lush? Lucky. Im guessing your username is from their song.

  • Comment removed

  • @Etherialshroud That was the best Lollapalooza. I was 17 that year. Smashing Pumpkins were amazaing and so was L7.

  • the 90's was the only incredible decade for music since the 60's

  • absolutely! And its funny because so most of the 70s disco and 80s glam rock are so cheesy and dated now but the best music is timeless! Hell, most of the music on the radio now is just a cheap imitation of the past. Stuff like Nickelback.. PUKE! lol

  • Yes The 90's did rock!! I love Veruca Salt! ROCKIN IT OUT!!!

  • 1995? My god, how did I miss out on these girls?! Stupid local radio stations, they never played this. They just played Jewel and Alanis Morrisette over and over again. Thank god for YouTube. Where's my radio? In the trash, where it belongs.

  • Damn, I wish I was a teenager in the 90s...

  • @dr1nk1ngm3rcury me too i love the music of the 90's the best , the smashing pumpkins, helium, veruca salt, babes in toyland, the breeders,nirvana,drugstore,Hole,L7, mazzy star, and the ending of the 80's just like sonic youth, dinosaur Jr., the pixies, but the best of the 90's is Beavis and butthead jaja .

  • @lucyalternative93 Yeah, you got that right! It just isn't the same without all those bands... and of course, Beavis and Butthead!

  • Evil in good things

  • one of my ... 50 favorite songs.. or something.. GREAT

  • someone take me back to the 90's, please!!

  • @jiggy716 just get into my teleporter of awesomeness.....as soon as i fix it

  • i want that monkeyyyyyy......

  • Candlebox was the start of music turning shitty

  • i wish i lived in the 90s because the music was SOO much better

  • Okay, I've got the Delorean and most of the flux capacitor built, but I'm still struggling with the pickle matrix - as soon as I work that part out, I've got space for at least three other people for the trip back to 1995. You will, however, be expected to supply your own flannel shirts and torn jeans.

  • @elconquistadorcito Flannel..check...Torn Jeans...check...book me a spot!

  • It sounds so strange with this extended intro. Still, this song rocks!

  • so heavy

  • All hail me

  • adoro essa banda

  • nowdays, this is the music that brings me back to sanity

  • I love this band.

  • ahhh the 90's college radio sound, back when it actaully meant something, i love it

  • what happened to them...

  • good lord.. i forgot how gorgeous they both really were. damn, i miss the 90's too. :(

  • 90s music runs most of todays stuff into the ground...

  • @sirius212ify ..agree....gets better with age.

  • @sirius212ify i hope you mean early to mid 90's only...97,98, and 99 were awful

  • @fields1207 Agreed! Around 97 music started to morph into what we've got now. From 91 to 95 was the golden age for me.

  • @sirius212ify

yeah it was the epitemy of creativity.

  • @istayhighx420 Indeed...today's stuff is too commercial, too cut-out cookie. Sadly that's what the corporate muck machine wants.

  • @sirius212ify Any decade of music would run todays into the ground.

  • @sirius212ify OMFGD YES!! today's pop over produced shit cranker is just getting worse and worse this era was the good stuff!! :D

  • @sirius212ify Correction.... 90's music runs ALL of today's stuff into the ground.

  • @44247844 Yep...can't think of anything today that stacks up to the 90s. I enjoyed the mediocre stuff from the 90s more than today's so-called best hits.

  • @sirius212ify

    I agree

  • god do i miss this band

  • 2:57 "Wait til I'm old enough to get a gun permit."

  • I had forgotten all about this group! Glad I found them again.
