He tried going to the U.N and he sent Colin Powell. He tried to get them to comply with the full extent of res. 678. They wouldn't. Syria wants in to subvert this government as it did in Lebanon. I don't know if the reinforcements are a good idea or not. I am not a military analyst and neither are you. The U.N. can inspect all it wants when it sends troops to secure the country and help in the reconstruction.

He didn't try--and isn't trying--ENOUGH, blutsturmer. Bush is an INCOMPETENT negotiator. Why wouldn't he pick up the freaking phone and talk to Syria? MANY military experts have called this Iraq debacle one of the worst military offensives of all time.
