A round is what you just heard. When they went through the chorus they sang all the same lyrics but at different times. Ingrid starts then Kate & the others joined in each in turn starting at the first verse after the one they follow finished that verse. Listen again she explains at the end with her father saying it is also called a "cannon" or "fugue". Another example would be the song "Row row row your boat."
