@musicfan1ful When it comes to The Beatles you really need both especially if you are interested in getting the best sound quality possible. Some Beatles album sound better in stereo while others sound better in mono. FTR: The Beatles themselves preferred their music to be heard in mono and were often absent when the stereo mixes were being prepared. But again to get the full experience you really need to own the albums in both formats.
