I conditioned myself to much dreamy and intovert, loving blahahalblah, it´s definitely because I am very pessimistic about life. I am continuously thinking about how to make a better world, whilst not enjoying life itself. Therefore, by loving others well, and treating others well we see better how to be loved and how to love ourselves. If you, I or others intentionally treat someone cruelly, then such people may have a harder time loving themselves until around more supportive people than we have been.

@zatoichiable I don´t think you really get the concept...Love for power had brought the world do much misery. When you are aware that we are all one, then in loving and honouring youself you are loving other and honouring the creation as a whole.

@zatoichiable I think it is selfishness in the form of greed, not love, that has brought the world suffering. If we were all selfish in a loving way we would all take care of ourselves and not douse ourselves in chemicals and harm our environment, our world that we live in.

However, when I was in college, I used to listen to Maharishi Mahishi Yougi
( I believe that was his name)
He was very abstract, and I could not tell if he was bullshiting.

the HOLY BIBLE does say "Love your neighbour AS you love yourself"...obviously you getta love yourself first. But before that, Christ says to "love GOD with all your heart, mind and soul. He teaches love, because He is love. Blessings ; )

@youdevil6 That's true, but most of us learn how to love through interacting with others. Therefore, by loving others well, and treating others well we see better how to be loved and how to love ourselves. If you, I or others intentionally treat someone cruelly, then such people may have a harder time loving themselves until around more supportive people than we have been.

What most of the comments don't understand is that there IS nobody else -- just you. God created only one Son -- you. Everyone else is an illusion. That's why you need to be selfish: there is nobody else. That's why you need to love your neighbor as yourself. To understand this you need to study Buddhism or A Course in Miracles.

I think a lot of people need a simpler explanation of what he means by selfish: you need to be well on your way to your spiritual development before you can be able to love others - I think he could have expressed this simple idea in a much less extreme way, but if only people weren't unable to listen and understand that would not matter

Now I realise my tragedy of my life...
I was strugling to love others and made sacrafices only for the egoistic reason of wanting to be loved.
And was I lucky to stumble upon this video... I see it now.
I couldn`t give other people love, what I gave them was a lie... a sip from an empty cup.
When I tried to make other people happy, I made them happy at the expense of my happines. A real happines can only come form other peoples happines.
Let me fill my cup first. :)

Well...no offence, but I am so curious what exactly those 40 fundamentalist christian followers disliked? I think that after 2000 years of fooling the mob for their own financial interest, is the right time for any fundamentalist christian follower to stop being just a blind follower...and think for himself. I know that is not in the "christian spirit" to think for yourself - you can damage your brain doing that :)...but maybe you will give it a try and you follow your own ideas!

Het gaat over jezelf zonder invloed van een stoorzender als tv, krant, media (ook popmuziek..), maar ook de ideeen uit religie, ouders etc.... Je idee van je identiteit is aangenomen dat het zo is, en dat is een vals idee.. Vind je zelf.. Oneness, with All That is.. De oude man is een heel wijze oude man..
