Smallville has flaws, true. The films of the 70's & "Superman Returns" had flaws as well! Bad acting, silly plots, and a Lex Luthor who surrounds himself with fools ! Would Smallville's Lex allow a dolt like Ned Beatty's character, work for him ? Christopher Reeve was the greatest "Superman". Micheal Rosenbaum's "Lex Luthor" is more serious. Both Gene Hackman's & Kevin Spacey's portrayals seem to be played for laughs. Terence Stamp's "Zod" was more menacing !

to be fair i like them both,yes supernatural is written better and explores so many levels smallville does not but both are entertaining and leave you wanting...cant decide who i think is better looking tho..tom welling or jensen ackles,i suppose jensen has that badass edge tho,so that scores him points and there are more sides to his character but tom has that humble sweetness going on..both too good looking for their own good ^_^
