@sofakifuckoff , are you disagreeing or asking what I mean by "on the nose"? If it's the latter, then I mean that the attempt at telling some kind of story within the video (the guy, the marriage proposal, the getting beat up by ganstas) is so cliche and lame that it detracts from her vocal talents and her expressive face in the rest of the video. It looks like one of those cheesy karaoke videos but probably cost a lot of money. A locked off shot of just her singing would've sufficed.

It's OK, but with Barbra's gusty and powerful performance it's like why bother? This chick is good, but she should have changed the song up more to make it her own. This just comes off as karaoke.
