@nhoel1000 well, if YOU claim you dont, then WHY on earth you know our president's nickname? dont care who you are, if your not pinoy THE MORE that YOU dont HAVE the RIGHT to make SMARTASS COMMENTS about our COUNTRY.
THE FASTEST AIRCRAFT ARE PLANES WITH JET ENGINES. THE WORLD RECORD WAS SET BACK IN 1976, WHEN THE USA'S SR-71A REACHED AN AMAZING 3530 KILOMETERS AN HOUR! IT WAS NICKNAMED Blackbird.
i use to sell fireworks in front of the 2nd gate and i sell the whistle bombs on the side and 1 of the airmen snitch on me then the mp's confiscated all my fireworks. but it's a memory i miss clark i miss ragman lol
There's a website that lists a diversion of an SR-71 into Clark on 27 Nov 1978, departing 29 Nov 1978. Not sure if this is it though. Maybe if someone knows the makes & models on those cars we can see if it jives with the date.
My parents worked at Clark for 1961st Communications Group from 1966 till 1991. Very nice base back in the days, I wish it was still open. I remember I used to climb up on the roof of our house in Angeles City to watch the US planes fly over.
what a nice base....hope they could put up new bases in the philippines because of the threat against china...it could overthrow the power of US militarily ,as what ive seen on the map one of the best strategic location is philippines in asia pacific.
yes my uncle was a F100 super sabre civilian mechanic at Clark Philippines he said whenever the SR71 comes to the base no one comes in and out the gates. damn i missed it i was born in nevada lol
I was a dog handler at Clark 87-89. SR-71 made an emergency landing and we were told to go out and prevent pictures, some were pulling the film (remember film) out of peoples cameras. Obviously the Armed Forces Network didn't get the order. :)
can it get too the moon.

I was stationed there when the SR-71 made an emergency landing. It closed down the entire flightline. I still get chills when I think about it.

he must have been either on his way too or from a classic South east asia Blackshield route. Philippines are directly on that route.

@dawndarkangel true, placing a base in northern Luzon would be a perfect strategy location for defending Taiwan for possible invasion from China.
away from volcano's of course.
