The Bible is divine in this way...God will never expect us to rely on the word of ONE man. Thus, every word and prophet in the Bible(including Jesus) is confirmed by the other prophets and word of God in the Bible. God will never allow us to be deceived by one man, that is why his whole word is confirmed by others. The quran is not. It is the word of one man, with no confirmation from any other prophet. God would not expect us to listen to one man. This is one way I know the quran is fake.

The crescent moon came way after during the ottoman empire, when muslims kicked the shit out of the christians and took over Constantinople. The ottomans wanted a flag and they used the crescent. The moon and star images that adorn Islamic buildings and flags is actually down to the Ottomans adopting the flag of Constantinople as the flag of their own Islamic empire. Unfortunately, this crescent moon image was adopted by this city centuries before Christ when it represented Hecate, the old Greek goddess of the night, witches and black magic-long story, google it.
So they steal the symbol and ever since have proudly displayed the symbol of Hecate, goddess of black magic!

People of the Middle East have used some form of this name for atleast four thousand years,from the time of the Old Canaanite "Allat" or "Elat"(a name of the Middle Eastern Goddess) to the Hebrew "Elo-him",the Aramaic "Alaha"(used by Jesus) and to the Arabic "Allah" which is not just used buy Muslims but Arabic-Speaking Christians today!

From my humble understanding, Crescent and star symbol was never taught by the prophet. It is an idea adopted by muslim empires after him to indicate the 'correct, straight path;the truth' as to how the sailors at night uses the North Star to find the correct direction to their destination, submitting to the will of the One God is the direction.
