@PEREBRUN True but Korbel uses Champagne as part of its name and actually refers to its sparkling wines as champagne which they've been making since the 19th century. Long before the need to use enactment of the "semi-generic" clause in US law to allow domestic winemakers to use names like champagne, chablis and burgundy in order not to confuse buyers. It's a sensitive subject but I chose to call the product the name under which it's sold. I should have explained the reason.
Please don't say american champagne ! Champagne is made in champagne as californian sparkling wines are made in calofornia
