If there's a more beautifully desolate, moody, invigorating, powerful, or engaging song than this in the history of Americana I'm yet to hear it. Richmond Fontaine, Wilco, then daylight to whoever else in my view. Purity. Would love the chord progression if anyone's ever bothered to figure it out. On the recording I think it's capo 1 and starts with D Dmaj7 G sorta thing and there seems to be a Bm shift soon after that, then I get lost in the swirl of the pedal steel
