In fact, it's better on your tendons to keep your wrist straight.

If you think about it, the tendons controlling finger movement must travel through the carpal tunnel. Too much tendon action at an exaggerated angle can cause RSS (repetitive stress syndrome).

So, if the wrist is bent, the tendons aren't moving in an optimal angle.

Actually, many bass players do this, but it's more of a handicap than anything.

Plus, it will contribute to long-term injury if it's not corrected...especially at the lightning-fast speeds this guy is doing.

I actually consider that technique must be played with the instrument as high as possible, for me to do sweeps I need to lift it with my leg I mean, if u try to get to the 15th fret with the bass below ur belly bottom, u will definetly get hurt and maybe die... well.. maybe u wont die, but u will have an injury on ur fretting hand....

@ZachMetalAsFuck Because all of the strings on the guitar are mostly high pitched, but on the bass u have a very deep low B sound and then you have a very high c string sound. When you blend them together u get beautiful chords that u can put together which can sound very cool on a bass. Plus its for extended range on the bass so u can do more runs. 6 string bass is the coolest period.
