I just discovered the old series and how AMAZING it is. Exposing the enslavement of us all in real life.......now i discover this new series. When did this new one come out and howcome i never seen it on tv?
It was a made for TV mini series they only showed it once because everyone was expecting a more faithful reproduction of the 60's TV show and it just didn't live up to their expectations.

This is more of a "re-imagining" than a "remake," per se. I actually really liked it. (But, I LOVE the original series.)
