hey i'm having a little trouble with this, i've converted an MKV file to AVI and i tried putting it into sony vegas but it didn't seem to work, anyway aside from that i tried to convert another MKV to AVI but now it's just not letting me do anything all together
@p1w3gonzzzalezzz Our programs are free for download. However, non-registered verisons have a limitation which is our logo added to the output files. If you'd like to save your videos without any logos attached, you need to register the programs first:
need help my mkv file has a .001 at the end or what ever part it is (there are 4 so one is .001 2nd is .002 etc.) and it thinks the file is a .001 file and when i take off the .001 from the name it has a error adding it (and i cant add it when its with the .001 cuz it dosnt recognize it as a mkv file
this converter aint worth it. Everytime when i convert my videos every single time i lose a portion of my subtitles. And the sad thing is that when i use a crappy free converter, it does a better job keeping every single subtitles in there unlike this one. The whole reason why i bought this was so i could convert a video with subs. Not convert a video with half of the damn subs missing.
When submitting your request specify the following: origin/format of the file you're converting, format of the subtitles, all your actions step-by-step, whether you have this problem with all files or with a particular file.
@GoldenShinigami The watermark is the only limitation of non-activated version of the programs. If you want to get rid of it, you'll need to register the programs first:
@Masklessvizard Make sure that you convert your movie according to these instructions:

Please also upload your original file into the program, choose output format, click on Advanced and make a screenshot of Conversion Options tab. Send a screenshot of the error as well.
@therealgonogo The programs are free for download. However, they are not freeware: output file will contain our logo. To save files without any limitations, you need to register the programs first:

@kvang65 Hi! Could you please specify what title you are talking about. If you'd like to rename the file, then you can do it in the Output File Name line: onlinehelp.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter/ProgramInterface/MainWindow/MainArea.aspx
If you want to add the some slide with the Title at the beginning of the video, then you need to use AVS Video Editor to perform the action:
@SupportAVS4YOU umm actually nvm bout that i figured that out anyway when i try to convert my video like crystal intro.vep it always says no file format.
@kvang65 .vep file is the project file of AVS Video Editor. It does not contain any video data, just the links to it. Please save your project as video file prior to uploading it to AVS Video Converter: open the project in AVS Video Editor -> click Produce and choose the necessary option:
@801Milcah Hi! 1). You can try to change the conversion Priority to solve the problem: after pressing the Convert Now button it turns to the Pause button. @Mscorpion001 Hi! Actually AVS applications use GPU for editing, but not for conversion. As for the use of all cores and multi-thread conversion, it is supported for conversion to some formats, but unfortunately not for all supported video formats. You can find the instructions on how to set it here:
@SupportAVS4YOU thanks for the reply.i love AVS and i am using AVS since 3 years now.please try to add GPU support for conversion process in your next version if possible.then AVS will become the best video converter of our universe.
@dina15droubi First, i recomment RealPlayer, then convert the video to WMV, now the audio will be unremobable, then past it to Sony Vegas Pro 8, choose 1080/720p preset and then you are done :D
@dina15droubi Actually, the files created with our programs fit with all the standards of the format. Try to play back the created file in your PC media players. If you don't have any problems with that, then you'd better contact the support team of Sony Vegas Pro to learn the parameters of .avi files this program supports.
@linksbrawler Any conversion between formats presupposes the file's reencoding which will result in some quality loss. However, by setting the output parameters close to the original file, you can keep the best quality possible (for this after uploading the file click Advanced -> Ocnversion options).
Hey every one Thumbs this up casue if u want to import a mkv file (lets say around 300mb) and choose to convert to a high 720p file this conversion takes far too long and is a waste of time. im using imTOO MKV converter and it does mkv files in under 15min (20min was the highest for me)
@moorekh2 Try to change the Priority level to Highest to speed up the conversion process: press the Convert Now button which will turn to the Pause button. By clicking the black arrow beside it, select Conversion Priority > Highest.
@PolyphonyDigitalGT Hi, you may choose the kind of Priority that will speed up the process: after pressing the Convert Now button it turns to the Pause button. By clicking the black arrow button beside it, you may select Conversion Priority > Highest:
@SupportAVS4YOU I did that and the program just sticked all my vids into one file. the vids need to be all seperated and I don't wanna convert one vid at the time.
@Channelsearcher It seems that you didn't choose the Batch mode when converting the files. After adding videos and choosing the subtitles, click Advanced button and make sure that the Split and Batch Mode boxes are checked:
@Channelsearcher It is possible to convert several files with different subtitles in AVS Video Converter. To do this you need to: upload the files into the program (using the "+" button) -> click Advanced -> Conversion options. After that you need to highlight the first video and choose the subtitles for it. Do the same for the next video file.
Below you can find information on how to convert added videos into separate files:
@PolyphonyDigitalGT You need to set output parameters as close to the original file as possible. In order to do this, after uploading your video into the program, click Advanced -> Conversion options.
@omgnoi You need to name your subtitles with the same title as your video file so that the program could see it. The file should also be located in the same folder as your video file.
Note, that at the moment the program supports external subtitles only in .ssa or .srt format.
im converting an mkv with subtitles into avi and it converts fine with subtitles but i want to change the font. i have tried going to the subtitle section in settings but it doesnt work. also when it converts, there are a few sections where the subs say "{\i0}" in the middle of the sentence, why is that?
@MRchocolateMONKEYman Make sure that your subtitles are of the supported type (.ssa or .srt). If in some parts of the text you have the symbols instead of the letters, that can mean that this part of the text has encoding which is not supported by the program (characters, special symbols, etc.).
You can also address AVS4YOU support team with this question:
@randomrebel08642 If you have any complaints about AVS4YOU programs, you can submit them via our Online Support System: support.avs4you.com/Support.aspx
Im converting the file after pressing the button, but after about 42 seconds or so (and its at 0.52% overall) it just freezes and doesnt repond. My file is quite big- 1GB+
so is that the problem?
if not, then what do i do to stop it freezing everytime?
Ok. I know to convert. I'm having an issue with see the person's script in the subtitles after I convert as well as subtitles are mixing together so I'm only getting half the dialogue. I don't know what to do.......please help.
@zero841337 YeaH, sure you can, just click Settings button on the main panel, near button About and choose the "Subtitiles". After that, you can correct the font and color etc.
dude this thing is terrible for converting mass videos, because u cant scroll down in the advance screen, when u add more than 5 videos the screen gets too big and u cant scroll down. thats such an easy thing to fix
will the quality be the same? I tried this on some other converter program and the mkv file was a 720p and when i converted it, then it was a piece of wreck.
I like how AVS Video Converter can help convert to a lot of formats with saving frame rate by choosing ORIGINAL which I've never seen of any other video converter, but one thing I don't like about AVS is that it does not support FANCY subtitles (such as well decorated subtitles made by using Aegisub). When I try to put my ass. file (Aegisub subtitle file) into the video and convert it, the subs always comes out as very common (I don't wanna say UGLY cuz it's rude) font style as default in AVS =(
@nekohanten0910 If you click on settings then the subtitles option on the side you can choose any type of subtitles you want. Btw when you convert a video do you get a watermark on your video?

Hey every one Thumbs this up casue if u want to import a mkv file (lets say around 300mb) and choose to convert to a high 720p file this conversion takes far too long and is a waste of time. im using imTOO MKV converter and it does mkv files in under 15min (20min was the highest for me)

@moorekh2 Try to change the Priority level to Highest to speed up the conversion process: press the Convert Now button which will turn to the Pause button. By clicking the black arrow beside it, select Conversion Priority > Highest.
SupportAVS4YOU 1 year ago
@PolyphonyDigitalGT Hi, you may choose the kind of Priority that will speed up the process: after pressing the Convert Now button it turns to the Pause button. By clicking the black arrow button beside it, you may select Conversion Priority > Highest:
onlinehelp.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter/ProgramInterface/MainWindow/MainArea.aspx
This will not influence the quality of the output file.

@SupportAVS4YOU I did that and the program just sticked all my vids into one file. the vids need to be all seperated and I don't wanna convert one vid at the time.
Channelsearcher 1 year ago
@Channelsearcher It seems that you didn't choose the Batch mode when converting the files. After adding videos and choosing the subtitles, click Advanced button and make sure that the Split and Batch Mode boxes are checked:

any way on how to convert more than a file at the same time with seperate subs?
Channelsearcher 1 year ago
@Channelsearcher It is possible to convert several files with different subtitles in AVS Video Converter. To do this you need to: upload the files into the program (using the "+" button) -> click Advanced -> Conversion options. After that you need to highlight the first video and choose the subtitles for it. Do the same for the next video file.
Below you can find information on how to convert added videos into separate files:
onlinehelp.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter/Features/BatchMode.aspx
SupportAVS4YOU 1 year ago
@PolyphonyDigitalGT You need to set output parameters as close to the original file as possible. In order to do this, after uploading your video into the program, click Advanced -> Conversion options.

what if the subtitles are in a separate file from the video? how do i add them?
omgnoi 1 year ago
@omgnoi You need to name your subtitles with the same title as your video file so that the program could see it. The file should also be located in the same folder as your video file.
Note, that at the moment the program supports external subtitles only in .ssa or .srt format.
You can learn more at:

im converting an mkv with subtitles into avi and it converts fine with subtitles but i want to change the font. i have tried going to the subtitle section in settings but it doesnt work. also when it converts, there are a few sections where the subs say "{\i0}" in the middle of the sentence, why is that?
MRchocolateMONKEYman 1 year ago
@MRchocolateMONKEYman Make sure that your subtitles are of the supported type (.ssa or .srt). If in some parts of the text you have the symbols instead of the letters, that can mean that this part of the text has encoding which is not supported by the program (characters, special symbols, etc.).
You can also address AVS4YOU support team with this question:

Hope that helps!

Works fine, but it's slower than most video converts I've used.
TuzoAnime 1 year ago
will the quality be the same? I tried this on some other converter program and the mkv file was a 720p and when i converted it, then it was a piece of wreck.
Cyrisik95 1 year ago
@Cyrisik95 The output file quality directly depends upon your input file. So, if you want you can keep high quality, choose HD preset for AVI

ShinRyuAmiYuniTsuki 1 year ago
I like how AVS Video Converter can help convert to a lot of formats with saving frame rate by choosing ORIGINAL which I've never seen of any other video converter, but one thing I don't like about AVS is that it does not support FANCY subtitles (such as well decorated subtitles made by using Aegisub). When I try to put my ass. file (Aegisub subtitle file) into the video and convert it, the subs always comes out as very common (I don't wanna say UGLY cuz it's rude) font style as default in AVS =(
nekohanten0910 1 year ago
@nekohanten0910 If you click on settings then the subtitles option on the side you can choose any type of subtitles you want. Btw when you convert a video do you get a watermark on your video?
