hi cizzie. its true what jh says generaly. evryone is difrent. musical geniuses like stevie wonder & paul mccartney can write songs when they want. 4 me, these r the ways i compose music: when i learn a new chord & play chords around it; make a mistake that sounds good when i play someone else's song; hearing a sound sometimes sets music going in my mind; in dreams; inspiration from other music; idea pops into my head; learning a new techinique. make use of any or all those methods. good luck.
