i dunno if this is real or not, but the term "hot ice" could be possible, just like the same way the earth's core is a solid. no matter the temperature, if theres enough pressure, things can turn into solid.
i can't say it's fake, cause it doesn't say it's doing anything.
but, i know ice does NOT get hot. It's ice because of it's temperature. If ice was hot that would be like a frozen puddle, it's not a puddle, it's ice.
actually, scientists suspect that on other planets (in other solar systems), there IS such a thing as "hot ice". but the temperatures on the planets in question are in the thousands.
i'm sorry to doubt so much, i'm not a scientist by any means, but my point is that it's not possible at all, it doesn't matter where it is. If it's hot and it's frozen then we name it something different, because ice is frozen water. If it's frozen chocolate then it's called frozen chocolate, not ice. I could be wrong but I'm just going by what I know. if u have the time a link would be great to what u're talking about :)
i think you are thinking of conductivity. Pure water doesn't conduct electricity. The best thing about water is how it freezes, and you are telling me it won't freeze unless it has extra stuff?!
this is the 3rd reply i have received and I keep hoping there is some truth to what people are saying, but unless you give me more info on what you are talking about it is just wrong.
this is real, the ice does actually get hot. i think its something to do with ice7. there was a programmed called weird plantes and it had the thing with hot ice
High Frequency Energy will create this reaction. I do this research often and can agree that this effect is real. Visit zrileys if you wish to see the water research.
electromagnetic induction!!! It's possible!!! 5 stars!!!

Yeah, and the part where it catches fire (via the hydrogen) is fake as well.

By the way, it's spelled T-H-E

they are just using induction heating, right?

i like the bit where the ice gets really hot!

someone should cook a steak on it

Water is naturally diamagnetic. It's done with simple induction heating.

Likely not pure water. Something in it is conductive, assuming the metal is an electromagnet, so the ice isn't glowing but the impurities.

ah, good observation... didnt think H2O could emit blackbody radiation

more than likely tap water that usually contains dissolved metals. still really cool
