I know it's great for what it is. But it doesn't sound a thing not even close to my Corvette Standard German and my Double Buck also German. Keep this in mind when choosing. Of course I'm sure there are exceptions. Just saying it doesn't sound like your average german Warwick. I have 3 and have owned several more.
@rarebasses I also have a German Vette 5 with passive pickups. I like my Rockabass better. The active pickups really "pop", the weight is a bit less, and the neck feels a tad better.
@Fenderprecision51 well they are both very well made and have similar features, but really its based on the sound which is your choice but you should know that the EMG pickups on the Schecter are very easy to interchange with other pickups of the same size while you would only have jazz pickups on this bass. So the schecter could be a little more flexible.
i don't know why people care if a bass is heavy or not. THATS NOT WHAT COUNTS. the important thing is that it wounds good. if a bass sounds good then man up and play the behemoth
@TheRareDevil My favorite bass is a bubinga thumb 5 NT. it is heavy but I like the weight, if it hurts get a better/wider strap. I have several warwicks and the ash corvette I have isn't heavy enough the whole bass wants to swing when either popping the d or g or playing the low b hard and that sucks cause so much extra energy goes into holding the instrument in position. So ironically I end up playing the ash bass sitting down to help hold it in a decent position.
@KincaidBass I see your point - choose sound over weight ... but i currently play an ibanez SR bass, it ways about as much as a picture of itself and my god it makes a difference to your playing ability
i have this exact bass, color and everything. been a solid guitar for me!
