In her book Kara says she saw him earlier and had to convenience the other judges that he was good enough to put through to next round. What? Good enough. Who were those other judges? Nuts!

They planned on putting him thru. Did you see Simons reaction when he first starting singing. Amazement. Adam knew the outcome, it was all in the bag. Everybody knew. They can't jump out of there seats. But when they hear a star, they know it. I do agree how far he came. Its been a amazing ride for him and his fans.

This whole audition was so staged. Do you know how many great singers never even see the judges? I have nothing against Adam; I wish he had won, but seriously: the producers had already recruited him and knew they wanted him on the show. My point is the whole "the judges will just hear me and love me" dream they give people is a myth.

whirlpool89, don't think that when people say he's the next Freddie they mean he sounds exactly like the late great Mr. Mercury. FM was one-of-a-kind. So is Adam. Right now there's not another male artist who delivers those incredible vocals. It's meant to be a compliment to Adam Lambert, and not to take anything away from Freddie Mercury. He was magnificent.

I understand however I think maybe some people DO take it literally and he has a very flamboyant style just like Freddie did so therefore they think Adam is trying to be Freddie. The Adam and Queen rumours didnt help either.

people doesn´t compare them as artist, Adam is one of a kind too, that is why people mention mercury constantly, both of them are unique, original, they can deliver, can leave their skin on stage and I think artist so original you can find it every 10 or 20 years and I think we will see Adam´s name in the same line where michael jackson, elvis presley and Freddy mercury are...

no. i dont think Adam will last long. his voice appeals mostly to girl. i hate his voice. he over does it too damn much. thom yorke, matthew bellamy, and chris martin all can sing high, but they dont do it on every damn song. lammbert does his theraitcle crap too much. soo indulgent. its annoying. out of all my friends, not one likes lambert, not even my female friends who are 21 and 27. like i said, mostly females like him, females around the teen years. i would never pay 2 see him.

Freddie can not be replaced, but like you (and millions of others-inclu. Brian May) that Adam sounds like him & sim voice/style. I have been harassed. I think its homophobia. Freddie was gay but not out. That is until is was already a legend. For that reason, his male fans felt comfortable. It was socially acceptable. Now blasphemy saying Adam sounded great with Queen. One guy said the world would end if Adam sang with Queen. Homophobia is alive even after the great Freddie. Sad but true.
