This is a common christian-due misconception , in Islam we do believe based on clear text and proofs (un-refutable), those who study knows what I'm talking, but also refuting without knowing this is a very dangerous behaviour which is normally influenced by pride, ignorance or hatred. And normally humans are afraid by the "unknown" but this doesn't allow them to judge it as they know it.

This isn't a sound behaviour, as evidence is enough "common sense"
