  • Thank you so much for this video! It actually ''opened my eyes'' and I realised I can't always trust everybody. :)

  • I have a Rags To Riches model, she was brand new when I went to my grandma's house for the summer. I came back and she had a seam split. It was a while ago so I blames my mom and told her she's never aloud to touch my Breyers. Lol, poor mom..,

  • yeah i cant make customs well at all too many brushstrokes how do i prevent that?

  • @wildspiritwolfrun try to add about 30% of water with acrylics. Also try to find a soft brush, and make sure the bristles are in there nice and tight! =)

  • If you had shiny marks on a model, but the rest is in mint condition, would it still be LSQ?

  • i tradeed a roxy for two ponies and a keltic, and keltic had no stand an etched blaze and socks and was beat up and she claimed he was *mint*

  • heres another tip; when you pack your breyer up to ship it make sure you dont wear somthing that has glitter on it. when i bough somthin from ebay my breyer had a few green sparkles on him so i got them off but in getting one off i make a small scratch on him. glitter is sometimes difficult to remove off a breyer! that horse bought was resin too.

  • can you please tell me what psq means?

  • @Misshail1 Photo Show Quality, it says it in the video. : )

  • @Munchie1011 thank you:D

  • @Misshail1 Your welcome! :D

  • thanks for the info!!! can you teach me hoe to ask someone to be your friend on youtube?

  • I hate scuffs. Matte's get them so easily and it ruins them. And they just appear out of nowhere! -_-

  • Ty for making this vid cause i was lost on should i trust the person or not i am a young youtuber thow but i am Dedicated to Breyer i only get on to look at Breyers and that is why i am on youtube in the first place still Ty for makeing this vid :)

  • you are right when you say that there are some very young people on youtube i can name bout 7 off the top of my head and i will tell the truth i am one of the young youtuber but people have said that i was wise and one said i was the most grown up kid they knew i won the trust to have a youtube unlike somepeople i know they just make one and DON'T tell there parents!!! I some times catch my cousins before they do something they are not aloud to do but it tick me off when i see some people saying

  • do you have some advice for me i am trying to buy my first breyer and don't know where to go i mean i looked at some here but they were not all ways truth full i could see some bad hoof rubs they said NO hoop rubs i am thinking about ebay but i would have to use my mom acount what do i do????

  • @ShayFoxxie who are you looking to buy?

  • @Breyerpeep uhhh shy boy or blue roan.

  • @Breyerpeep i am looking for just a pretty one not to picky as long as they are in mint :) (and under 60$ so a used one)

  • What mold is that little palomino pony? I custom painted one like that but I didn't know the mold. If you know could you tell me?

  • i love the vid., its really truethfull!!! im soooo glad u made it!!!

  • Do u think that if a horse had a couple of tiny shiny marks that it would place significantly lower in live shows? I'm just trying to figure out HOW bad shiny marks are!

  • Yep, it would count it down probably.

  • How badly? The horse w/ a shiny mark is an OOAK. Would it be something like ur Reverse Polaritys flaw like a speck that doesn't do any harm? Srry 4 all the Qs but cab u fix shiny marks?????? Thnx!

  • Who is he? If you have an "OOAK" model, what did you do to give it shiney marks?

  • It was a FC so he doesn't have a factory name. I'm not quite sure how he got the marks. They just kinda appeared. He WAS knocked down my friends (long story) but I checked him and he was fine then.......:,( ugh I feel terrible that he's not LSQ anymore!

  • What mold is he? Do you have any pictures of him? It really all depends.

  • He's a rabicano on the Arab stallion mold. I haven't had time to take pics of him. Thanks for answering my questions!

  • There is no Breyer Arabian Stallion. He's probably a Peter Stone. Those are'nt worth a ton. Those can't even show at Breyer shows. Does he have a little circle on the inside back leg that says "BREYER reeves" or something? If not, he's most likley a stone. Also, where did you get him?

  • Yeah he's a stone. I would never be able to afford a Breyer one! Still he's got a really nice colour. I ordered him through stone's OOAK You-Call-It Custom program. You can tell them what colour(send pics 4 reference) say what mold and if u want any resculpting, etc and they'll give u a price quote.

  • That might have been something really important to include. But, I know about the CM order things Stone does. I'm pretty sure he would still be OOAK. But, since stone has thousands (Which is why they're so cheap) of OOAKs, he would'nt be *that* special. So, if you ever take him to a show, ask the show manager where to place him. It all depends though.

  • Ok thnx 4 taking the time to answer my questions!

  • Thank you for the info! By the way, what does PSQ and LSQ stand for? Do they mean Photo Show Quality and Live Show Quality?

  • That's exactly what they mean! :)

  • Really nicely organized

    Really informative

    great

  • what people make good custom?

  • wow! thanks! btw i have a quistion. I just bought a perter stone and i wanted to show her. she hasen't arrived yet but do they alow like little set up things like a trail ride or X-country or is it just sit ur model on the table and let it be judged?

  • I SHALL TAKE BARBARO AND TAKE CARE OF HIM LIKE A GOD! RUBS AND ALL!!! :D? If you dont want im' I'll take im'~

  • @horsecrazy342178 No, that's not Barbaro. That's Winsome Adente. He's not for sale. :)

  • Hi I was wondering what's the mhhr adress bc when I look it up on google is has a bunch of references 4 horse breeds, colours, etc

  • if my modle has 2 really small shiny marks and a little black mark on one of his white hofs, is he PSQ still or something else?

  • @Sweethorse14 PSQ, probably.

  • thanks :)

  • This is really helpful bestie

  • @Breyerpeep thanks[:

  • What does PSQ mean

  • @BreyerDazzle It means Photo Show Quality. :)

  • I really hate those shiny marks. -.- This is really helpful!

  • hey i was wondering what condition my model was in. hes a dz weedo and came with no factory flaws. he only has one tiny black dot on his shoulder.

  • i never sell or trade on youtube either, i used to but sooo many people either dont know what a flaw is or lie about it =( AND I HATE WHEN PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT SHINY MARKS ARREE!!!!!

  • *Blinks in disbelief* Did I just see Reverse Polarity?!

    Good vid btw, excellent point!

  • @FeatherstheWildHawk Yep! :D Thanks :)

  • i agree with you a 110%. many people do not care for their modles. i got one from ebay and it hada nick in its side and what they said were box rubs.were really scratches. you can cinamon mew mew care for your modles the most.

  • @4whe3 Well, box rubs can be a lot of different things, they can be scratches too :) But, as long as they said he had flaws. :D

  • what were the websites & youtubers that you mentioned that were good to use?

  • Seriously this is the best video on quality models on youtube. You and Mew are the only ones that ever made sense as far as model quality. I agree, some youtubers have no idea. But I'm trying to get into determining model qualities for show personally. I'm going to PM you with a few of my questions! :)

  • great vid! i think i forgot to tell you this but, i has a hero at bf! Some1 was trading with a 7ish year old boy. the boy had moon warrior and the othr person (old lady xD) had mon gamin. the boy agreeded to the trade and his mom didn't no better. i went over and told his mom how unfair that was, and they got moon

    warrior back :)

  • @cb2398 Go you candice! That makes me really sad! What a horrible person to try to take advantage of someone like that! It's even worse he was a kid!

  • lol i know! i was just like, "listen you old fat scammer, dont take advantage of him becase hes young" xD

  • thank you

    it will help

  • Very well put, Jenn. These things NEED to be addressed.

  • wow you have an awsome sized collection! Anyway i have been saving and saving and would like to buy some WELL done custome Bryer horses. Do would you mind listing to me some of the really honest bryer youtubers or sites that i could look to since I myself do not feel like i know enough to see these kind of things myself. Well thanks if you know of any. (I promise never to sell or trade any of my current models untruthfully)

  • @Tianathewolf Lol there are no "good" LSQ Breyers done by any youtubers except CinnamonMewmew

  • wow i would have never guessed thanks for making this

  • Great vid and I love that camera! Much better focus than mine >.>

  • i tottally agree with you on the custom thing, people paint spots on a black model and call it lsq :( i hate that

  • what does LSQ stand for? i know its something show quality but i dont really know... this is something i'm pretty new at!

  • i Think it means Live Show Quality

  • @hersheypony Live show Quality. :)

  • Excellent vid filled with lots of useful info! It's a good reminder for people like me who already knew this stuff, but it's REALLY useful for those younger model horse showers, as you said. I also agree on the dubbing things LSQ when they're obviously not. That's another pet peeve of mine. Glad to see my hackney is still in good hands! ^_^

  • @xbreakingfreex7 lol I'm coming for your other one...

  • lol. Sorry! That one's on hold for season6! :P

  • great video :)

I barely trade anymore, the first time I ever traded I was scammed,I went head over heels because the one I wanted I couldnt find, and overlooked the completely obvious signs,xD.

I only buy from trusted people, like on MH$P,I`ve bough off of JAF,and try to find people who do inspect their models well.I just bought Red Rock and the seller was willing to explain the condition very well,xD

  • @devinbriann12 There are scammers on MH$P too, a lot of tire kickers. If you have a Yahoo mail, join the Yahoo groupd called MHHR,you can see/ leave rep. for other collectors there.

  • yeah.

    that`s what sucks.

I`ve had nothing but good luck there though,xD.

thank you for the good advice :)

  • I wish there were live shows in the area were i live. :-(

  • Oh thanks !!

I wish every breyer seller was as trustful as you!

  • thx for posting this =] its really helpful im on the peter stone website for the design a horse thing i just have to ask my mom

  • This is really helpful! Thanks for posting :)

  • @breyerlover1993 Yep! I'm going to work on a packing tutorial, and a care/ cleaning video.

  • this was graet!lol i know how to fix yellowing:if ur a GREAT etcher then etch it,or put it in a window!it will take a while to have it white agian tho just plop it mon the window sil!

  • @BlackBeautyStudios Nope, you should never etch a model back to whiteness. You can always still see blade marks, no matter what. Im going into detail with that in my care video. :)

  • OHHH ok =D i dint think of that!lol but the window thing works!

  • thanks so much! i dont think bettyanne2402 isnt good to trade with. we traded my mint biko for her seattle slew with body rubs galore and i had to repaint him it was such a bad trade!!

  • This really is goona help me later on and now my mother knows what to look for christmas. Also thanks for the tips on the painting and shading stuff also. Have a merry x-mas!

  • This really helpful for Christmas!

  • THIS HELPED SO MUCH!!! Hey, is moonbeam for sale???? i will buy for like $8 well...I just bought a MINT big chex to cash is that bad???

  • wow u just saved me money because i buy off of ebay and on there i didnt know what to look 4!

  • it was so helpful!!!!!! i was going to buy a model on here but now i wont

  • thanks! it really helped me! now when i go to buy even in a store i know wghat to look for!

  • This was VERY helpful! thanks for making this video!

  • Ok thank you BreyerPeep, but I need your help

I am getting Roxy (screams) at Chrstmas and I am so so so scared that I am going to ruin her!

  • @Fozzeh1015 Lol!

Ill make a video for care/ cleaning soon. :)

  • This was a really helpeful video:)

What I use for my really expensive models are protective cases, the peter stone website has them for sale..:P

  • KUDOS to you BP!

Thanks for putting this up! It drives me NUTS when some say mint, lsq blah..and they just tipped the model over...WTH!?

    Thank YOU!

  • @CinnamonMewMew Lol! Sure thing. Yeah, lots of "this model only has rubs... I mean, it only has the rubs I want to point out" LOL!

  • :D this is very helpful THANKYOU!!! and yehh am always trying to avoid sellers on youtube....better to be safe than sorry LOL but yehhh extremley useful vid!! :D

  • how big can seem splits get? because my breyer has a small seem split on his face and i'm scared it'll get bigger. xxx

  • wow all my moddels exsept for my Baxten mold are all body quality and Lsq WOW XD

  • Btw I added it to my website =)

  • Thanks for the info! Lol, and thats my reasons too why I don't buy or trade from youtube, only good websites. Most people on here all just play with their models, they don't have shelf horses for showing. Thanks for the video once again :)

  • Also with CM models people don't tend to use primer before they paint -_- I only get CM's by live showers e.g. I'm paying $425 for a model from Faye Cohan (sorry this is sooo long xD) lol

  • Oh and Boy! I HATE seam lines! Both my PS arab stallions have seams! God grr! I know how to fix models that tip. But Boy the Huckleberry bey model is SOOO tippy lol, Also I don't understand why breyer don't put a layer of bubble wrap between the box and the model -_- I got a BNIB Smarty Jones and he came with really bad box rubs. Also with the Ruffian Mold appy U can get the black marks off, If you don't already know, I use meths or these little spungy white block things.

  • @honeyipodgirl Bubble wrap can harm a model if it gets to hot, the plastic will melt together with the Breyer and they will... die. lol its really bad for glossys. Breyer did recently start greasin boxes. For EX: Roxy from Breyerfest has a really greasey back to her box, and some newer ones.

  • @Breyerpeep

Lol I should have thought of that, well I recon they should atleast use a certain cheap soft material because factory flaws are such annoying problems! You pay so much for a BNIB model & you take it out of the box and then its only PSQ -_- Grrr...Lol

  • @honeyipodgirl Well, with that you have to be REALLY careful. Eventually some clothes can buff out gloss in models, and make one side different from the other. And with all of those little tiny movements its not good. Breyer is getting better by securing the model with a tighter grip in the box. :) Sadley, they are toys, and for collectors its a real bummer but yeah, we choose to buy them. :)

  • Aussie showing allows some rubs/scratches and shiny marks are always allowed, This is cuz theres only about 100 showers in AUS and in my state theres ony 8

  • Thanks Jen! Always a help!

  • i took out a notebook that i record all these breyer stuff of mine, and took all these notes! now i must go inspect my breyers! ;3

  • what model was that on the cigar mold?:)

  • @limitededitiongal Winsome Adente

  • VERY helpful and informative video Jenn!! Sure hope this helps a lot of people on here unfamiliar with the terms you mentioned. Everything you mentioned was VERY well put. Awesome video!! :)

  • @BreyerHorsesGroup Thank you! :D

  • thank youuuu!!!! ive been waiting for someone to tell me about these!!!

    Q:

how/can you clean off black scuff marks? (or whatver they r called) i will ask more...

  • @BREYERKID im going to make another video about packing a cleaning :)

  • ok.

  • lol your screwed.

jenn this is why i love you. you crack me up.

    and this is so true!!!!

  • @barbarolover lol yay ahaha
