God is a false sense of security for people during rough times or that have a bad life, because accepting the reality that you're born, you live, and you die and you're dead for eternity is difficult to come to terms with. Either way, it gives people confidence and comfort to get through the day so it that way it's a positive thing. It's when people start getting fanatical that it starts to get out of hand (Radical islam, Evangelicals, Born Again Christians, etc.)

Fanaticals do get 'out of hand'...a lot, but that is RELIGION. God does not focus on ur religious view point, He sees into ur heart.

I used to love this song before I became an atheist,thought it was a good song,but now it just sounds like false promises.Oh well,everyone can believe what they want,I guess.

my parents just recently got a divorce and i was all tore up everyone told me it would get better but it never did then i spoke to god and he told me to just go with it and it will get better well it did my parents get along now as friends then they ever have thank you god for helping me <3

Here is a question someone might be able to answer? What if you have been baptized by water and the blood, and did many great things in his name , and I still have fallen so far from the Lord... Strugglen to want to keep his word and do what i know I have to do. When all i have ever seen is his help in other and never just turned his eyes to me. Who has humbled hisself and pleaded for his help and never get a answer. Was once a great man in my own eyes to now felling s hopeless...
It takes just not hopelessness to go through to be keen in knowing the way He works in your life. You get up...you smile for no reason...then put into faith with works that everything that will happen next, will and remain under His control. Your life belongs to Him. Embrace it. @Firefighter6242 The Bible cautions against pride so perhaps this person who did many great things in His name needed to be humbled and to realize that a man is nothing without God. Let the hard times bring you closer to God and grow your faith. It is always so much harder done than said when you're in the middle of the trials of this life but God works all things together for good for those who believe in Him.

@daffillenco: I know some who believe yet choose not to live it. Some say it is too hard or they don't want to give up the wrong things they do. God is a just God. There are people who murder and they believe in God. They will be accountable for their actions. There is a repentance required for all who sin. The Lord payed for our sins through his atonement, but we should have Godly sorrow when we do wrong and take actions to correct it. That is when the peace and forgiveness will come.
I was re-baptized a year ago (after I came to Christ for real) but I have fallen again. It's always returning to the same state of anger and lies and greed. I've fought for so long and I have a hard time beating this. I know there are people out there with the same issue, So I will pray for you! Please help me out and pray for me too...

I used to be into drugs and alcohol... Then I was in a car accident and turned my life around and found God. But after a year I've slowly began spiralling down. Back into drinking... Every time I go to bray or read my Bible I get physically exhausted and sick. It's so hard to go on with life, but I know I have to, because it's what He would want. I know none of you know me... But can I get a few prayers sent this way? this song is so amazing by the way, I love it <3

@Jesusalwayzwins Many people turn to alcohol and drugs to self-medicate mental issues. You mentioned that you're sick of battling depression and axiety. It may be helpful to seek counseling or try out anti-depressants. Not to say you shouldn't go to God with your problems first and foremost.

Sometimes just the right circumstance hits us & in a moment of weakness, we fall back into or choose to walk back into the chains that held us before--b/c we forget how bad it was or it doesn't seem as bad as what we're experiencing "now." I know this personally. But God can break chains, habits, everything, no matter how many times you try to put them back on. You can change how you respond to life even when it seems to suck, with His help.
@TheMusicLovee Please tell your pastor or another Christian you trust about getting sick when you read the bible. I know people who have nearly vomited when reading because something was attacking them. I don't want to come to conclusions because I don't know enough about your situation to say if evil forces may cause the sickness, but it's highly probable. I'm not usually someone to pull the "demon card," but I've seen enough of it to know that it is not uncommon. I will definitely pray for you
@TheOriginalCliches If you go to another person and tell them you think the forces of evil are attacking you and making you physically sick when you try to read your Bible they may have you involuntarily commited to a mental hospital. People don't believe in that stuff anymore. I had something like that happen to me and NO ONE I told believed me everyone just said I was crazy. When that happens just go to God in prayer and He can protect you from anything. Only God can save you from evil anyhow.

Like I said, I don't want to come to conclusions. It is true that it is only God who can save us, but God chose a "through man" ministry. He works through us. my belief is based on is what I've read and seen.

There are people who murder and they believe in God. They will be accountable for their actions. There is a repentance required for all who sin. The Lord payed for our sins through his atonement, but we should have Godly sorrow when we do wrong and take actions to correct it. That is when the peace and forgiveness will come.

I used to be into drugs and alcohol... Then I was in a car accident and turned my life around and found God. But after a year I've slowly began spiralling down. Back into drinking... Every time I go to bray or read my Bible I get physically exhausted and sick. It's so hard to go on with life, but I know I have to, because it's what He would want. I know none of you know me... But can I get a few prayers sent this way? this song is so amazing by the way, I love it <3

@Jesusalwayzwins Many people turn to alcohol and drugs to self-medicate mental issues. You mentioned that you're sick of battling depression and axiety. It may be helpful to seek counseling or try out anti-depressants. Not to say you shouldn't go to God with your problems first and foremost.

Sometimes just the right circumstance hits us & in a moment of weakness, we fall back into or choose to walk back into the chains that held us before--b/c we forget how bad it was or it doesn't seem as bad as what we're experiencing "now." I know this personally. But God can break chains, habits, everything, no matter how many times you try to put them back on. You can change how you respond to life even when it seems to suck, with His help.

I know people who have nearly vomited when reading because something was attacking them. I don't want to come to conclusions because I don't know enough about your situation to say if evil forces may cause the sickness, but it's highly probable. I'm not usually someone to pull the "demon card," but I've seen enough of it to know that it is not uncommon. I will definitely pray for you

@TheOriginalCliches If you go to another person and tell them you think the forces of evil are attacking you and making you physically sick when you try to read your Bible they may have you involuntarily commited to a mental hospital. People don't believe in that stuff anymore. I had something like that happen to me and NO ONE I told believed me everyone just said I was crazy. When that happens just go to God in prayer and He can protect you from anything. Only God can save you from evil anyhow.
