i find it easyer to start with the darker things (shadows) and work into the lighter things (highlights) then i add some pik and orang and yellow to make it look better. when im done, i outling with a fine black marker.
I usually use a mix, but this time, the shading for the hair was a Verithin (do they even make that anymore?!), the eye and the tattoo were Crayola, and the skin was a Loew-cornell. Hope that helped!
The end result looks a little grainy... I don't know it if's the image quality or if that is what it actually looks like. I think the hair could use more of that gray (just to make it pop), though I like the fact that you used white.
no offense but it reminds me of a elf with its ears and nose

Hmm . . . maybe I'll give that technique a try sometime ^__^
Though I do like to ink it first, before coloring.
Thanks for the comment!

I think that's the quality of the image . . . for some reason, the program I use doesn't present photos very well. *shrug*
Thanks for the critique--I'll work on that when I get the chance. :) I'm glad you liked it.

if you mean the one I'm using on the skin--it's Loew-cornell peach.
