Boy, this was one thing I loved doing on those hot days when I was out swimming or on the playground, especially if the drinking water was nice and cold. This segment really brings out that vibe of sheer relief you get from simply a nice drink of water.
Does anyone remember a segment where, as I recall, a lady is trying to tell a man that she needs a drink of water, but she's so dehydrated that he she's talking so the man can't understand her. I remember that he tried handing her a skunk at one point in the segment.
I believe this was filmed around 1988, and that was when it was very hot in the summertime. Not just around NYC, but also in New England and Eastern Canada.
I remember that summer when I was a kid, right between elementary and middle school. Was 100 degrees in the Boston area several times. And we didn't have A/C in our house at the time! Thank God for Nantasket Beach!
Do you have WMM? You can just rip the files to WMV and edited them through Movie Maker. (I do and if you do that, set the quality to 2000, it looks better and smoother).
Does anyone know if the old sesame street clip of a whole bunch of kids saying 'water-water-water-water-water-water' is up anywhere on youtube?

*Sighs* Sometimes... growing taller really stinks.
I can't play the way I used to... too tall

I'm with you. But I can just watch kids from a distance, and admire them.
At least we can still go down slides.

Lucky you...
Sadly... I'm more of a shut in guy...
I don't really go places.

I'll say. There comes a time in everyone's life when a nice drink of cold water is the only thing that really helps.

It's a Raposo work, so it must be before 1989.

Despite the logo, this is a very catchy tune that gets stuck in my head easily.
