I heard this by chance a year or two ago. I now own both of Hellsongs' albums. Love this cover, definitely my favourite on the album. In many ways I actually prefer it to the original. One day I'd love to see these play one of the acoustic/small stages at Download and/or Sonisphere.

Neat idea, but really, the lyrics are the worst part of any metal song. Kevin Smith scored his "Clerks 2" trailer with a vocal-less Anthrax song, "Among the Living." It was great.

This is my favorite of the Hellsongs covers. Great source material, and what they did with it is just stunning. It's not just a fun cover, but an actual examination of the lyrics and the tone surrounding them. Wonderfully done.

I'm a "Metal Head." I don't like to define myself by a genre of music, but that's how I'm perceived and some things can't be helped. I feel like I'm supposed to hate this. It's like an attack aimed directly at a thing that I passionately hold dear to my heart. But I can't hate it because it sounds "lovely" and I enjoy it for some reason. Maybe it's all a matter of perspective or context; relative to my predefined interests. Whatever the reason is, I don't hate this song at all. I like it a lot.
