You film your background, then film the forground separately, meaning you'd film the foreground infront of a blue/green screen. then take it onto sony vegas, put in your background then foreground under it and use the Chroma Key effect for your green screened shot, making the green go away thus putting both images together. then just use the blur effect on either clip =]
