  • do i active afterburn effect with this?

  • how long in a day do i need to do jumprope? and do i need to do it everyday or every other day??

  • he say 20 mins?????

  • it is intense enough for me for his "low intensity one"

my feet will probably cramp and I'll die if I go to the high intensity one lol...

    I need more training!!

  • Today I came across your Jump Rope videos and I like them. I am going to try using your techniques in my diet plan thanks.

  • this will pump the shit outta ur calves and the quads just right about the knee (the tear drop) which is awesome, and kicks the hell outta ur cardio

  • man, how do you jump rope for like 10 mins? after a min my arms get tired and trip on the rope

  • I can't wait for the Wii version, without that pesky rope getting in the way.

  • Can I gain muscles like you by this jump rope workout.....

  • dude ur slow intensity is the same as my high 1 but im not that fast at jump rope u make it look so easy nice work

  • awesome awesome video bro. Ive already lost 2% body fat doing this, and i've done it for less than a month.

  • this video is plain awesome.

  • yes , your exercises is great ! (:

anw , the AE intro sucks xD

    just kidding :w

  • is this like an interval training session

  • awwsssoooommmeee!!!!!!

  • more jump rope videos please! great job!

  • Great video.But I can't jump rope at home.Our ceiling is too low. :S

  • Alright, it's official, a jumprope is my new best friend.

  • Nice video, I wish more people understood that undergoing high intensity interval training is so much more simple and productive than killing yourself with long term cardio

  • That's one cool dude.

  • wow... I knew that jump rope was an efficient way to exercise but i had no idea how to go about making a work out routine out of it. these videos definitely gave me a direction, Thank you !

  • HIIT is proven to burn more fat and calories than low intensity cardio workouts in a way shorter amount of time. Also it keeps cardio interesting and challenging.

  • you're really good at jumping rope. I wish I was that good. I can only do the basic jump though. I'm 255 lbs, so that's intense enough for me, right now anyway.

  • This is awesome!! Something I can do with the kids at home!! Your rock!

  • Great video...please make some more HIIT, I like the ideas and it doesnt require a lot of equipment.

  • I jump roped for 2 hours with no stop... probably did some mistakes but not many ^^

  • i liked this video.. game me something to do besides run everywhere.. thanks

  • i know. all i know to do is just run. i need to find more exercises. lol

  • How long before I quit tripping over the rope? After maybe 10-20 jumps, I mess up and have to start over.

  • That may be the length of your rope.

  • but what about if you have the right length?? mine is perfect, but I can't ever get going!

  • Start off with the normal basic jump.

Once you can do a 100 of that in high intensity, then move on to the single and double step slowly.

    Then slowly increase the speed.

I can't do the single and double step as fast as he can either, and that's what I'm planning on doing.

  • I've been trying to get better at regular jump rope for about 2 weeks, trying like 3 times a week. I can get up to about 30 jumps now, but I find that I mess up and miss the jump when I'm really tired and winded. I just rest and start over. Also, I'm a big guy, so I have a long way to go before I can jump rope for 20 min straight. I can do light jogging for 20 min straight, sometimes speeding up to a run, but that's it for now.

  • Not to long, i think it took me about a week to get alright at it.

Also as Utahduck75 mentions, the rope may be the wrong size, a lot of ropes are adjustable tho.

Keep it up though, skipping is pretty awesome

  • i've been skipping for about 1 and a half months and i'm already better; not great lol but quite a bit better than when i started

  • you burn 750 calories by jumping ropes for 1 hour !

  • But to do it for one hour, now that's a bitch!

  • how much fat do you burn in your thighs?

  • afggal55, there is no such thing as spot reduction. it burns the fat throughtout your body evenly.

  • You don't burn fat in one place. You burn it all over.

  • what kind of rope is that??

  • so the you can't stop when you're doing this? go on for how long?

  • for the light intensity i just jog, i cant keep going on the jump rope

  • this is the best .... try it!! it works!!!

  • i knew jump rope was the best cardio. so easy and you don't need a lot of room nor a gymn

  • is 700 jumprope and ab workouts a good workout ?

  • the jump rope is 1 of the best training in every way , cardio strenght resistance , work out your leg your shoulder , great great jumping rope make you burn a big amount of calories as well

  • when I jump rope to do HIIT training I double it up meaning I go 1 minute in which you bring the rope around twice in one jump and you repeat this-I have trained in boxing for about 5 years and it takes practice and timing & speed-I would jump for 2 1/2 minutes at a moderate pace and then the timer would indicate 30 seconds and I would jump 100% for 30 sec's. 3 rounds, then shadow box 3 rds, heavy bag for 3, speed bag,go max effort last 30 sec-other days HIIT-uphill sprints, jump rope, stairs

  • im buying a jump rope ..)

  • i like timing when the jumprope "hits" the floor :D

  • how many calories would you approximately burn doing this?

  • i don't no exactly but 1 minute of jumping rope = 3 minutes running.

  • I heard that 15 mins of jump rope can be equated to and hour of running. So depending on your weight it could be more than 500 cals

  • id guess around 150-200 every 10 minutes

  • well basically 20 minutes of jump rope will burn 250 calories but if you do this method you will probably burn more. Remember to wait about 1 hour after exercising to eat.

  • thanks for the tip!

  • How come your supposed to wait? Just wondering.. ^^

  • thats not right you're meant to eat straight after a workout as soon as possible to help nurish your muscles and help recover. your body will demolish a meal straight after a workout. if you wait an hour to eat after intense training like this then your body starts eating into muscle and other things. this making you feel tired, fatigued and other things.

  • it's not the calories you burn DURING the workout, but in subsequent hours. look up EPOC.

  • man im 6'4 and my 10 ft rope is small..do thet have 10.5 ft ones..

  • you can make one..lol

  • question??can HIIT be done while cutting?will this effect muscle?or is it more dependent on diet.oh also can it be done on an empty stomach or is it better post workout?thanks for the info and videos.

  • For HIIT, dont do it on an empty stomach

for steady state cardio you can on empty stomach(preferably some caffine pre cardio)

But HIIT not on empty stomach

  • When cutting HIIT is most effective in the morning, on an empty stomach, and not consuming anything for an hour following.

  • Actually both of those 'facts' are debate-able at best. You treat high intensity interval training as you do weight training.

So in that vein, you A: want to have food in your body (after 6-10 hours of starvation!!) so you can actually perform a decent workout.

and B: you want to eat something after your workout like whey + BCAA to avoid muscle breaking down even more.

HIIT is not regular cardio, and the effects on your metabolism are much longer lasting than the 'norm' and you can eat postwo

  • and to continue that, when you get down to the basics calories in < calories out = cut. Its really irrelevant where or when or how you get your calories, because if you burn them you burn them.

There are BETTER ways to do it, better foods to eat richer in more important nutrients, and ways to trick your metabolism, but in the end if you don't diet properly (such as starving yourself for 6-10 hours, then another 1.5-2 hours after HIIT) that would seem counterproductive, right?

  • As far as I know, the HIIT is designed especially for losing fat and not muscle

  • along with what vidike said, the short duration of HIIT prevents muscle catabolism, and the high intensity increases your metabolic rate, so you burn more calories in subsequent hours.
