Yes I think if you leave these nail tips and gel on for long periods of time without time for the nails to breathe it could damage your nails underneath.

I take them off now after a week and make sure I treat my nails with a good strengthener and cuticle oil treatment.

No you can even do the gel coat right over your natural nails to harden them and keep them from breaking!

Hello,

It is best to soak off with pure acetone remover or buy the Nailene Acetone jar that you can soak your nail in...works great.

You can do either one. Make sure either the gel or your polish has had time to set properly...maybe half hour to an hour before you put anything on top.

No you can apply the gel overlay right to your natural nail if you like.

Hi again. I liked the clear brush on gel kit so much that I want to also try the So Natural kit as well, but haven't been able to find it. I haven't even seen it advertised. I'm from Alberta. Do they ship them to Western Canada? Where did u purchase your kit?

Bought this kit from Shoppers. I shortened my nails today so I can get ready to place them on tomorrow. The nail tips do not have a Well so that's why she said they're finicky. They come in French white and Natural tips. My nails are petite and it's my first time applying tips, so I'll try the Natural ones.  I found the French tips hard to determine where I was placing them on the nail bc they are solid white and not opaque. Yes, it reminds me of the smell of glue as well. To me, the odor

Hi there,

I like the kit from Walmart better than shoppers but sometimes they sell out. I agree the odor is very strong and does smell a little like glue. They say on the bottle it is a gel overlay but maybe that is how they market their product. I like that I can get through a show and my nail designs stay perfect. Make sure you have a window open as the odor is very strong.

I don't know what the acrylic set smells like but I do know that the gel solutions need good ventilation when you are using them. The odor is stronger than just

a nailpolish odor.

I've been trying to grow my natural nails out, and I use this product to protect/harden my natural nails while they grow, because normally they're so weak that I damage them easily.
