  • I love 4:04 your syncing your attacks to the music :D

  • Can't believe this game can be completed in less than 10 minutes! Woah.

  • Damn good run, and having put years of frustration into it, can easily verify there was no cheating involved, just a lot of memorization of where to teleport past the annoying mini bosses ect..

I think the only way I figured out that reset the danger room = reset your genesis was by getting to that point, getting frustrated and rage resetting it... And forget about using game genie since that would send you back to the code input screen.

  • I'm pretty sure in the game you can only use the helper heroes once each per level. I don't buy the verified no cheating.

  • @jzigsjzigs Yes each helper hero can be used once. Basically they're like weapons with only 1 shot in the clip. I got around this on Ahab's Future by grabbing an Iceman "ammo" partway through the level. The only heroes you can switch to a limited amount of times during a level are the playable ones (limited to 2 switches per level). The level writeups are linked in the video description and explains everything. In short: yes this video was verified for no cheating.

  • @honorablejay I guess I'll have to rewatch it. I thought that the "helpers" happened more often than they were picked up, but I may have missed it. It was really fast. Either way, it was well done, cheating or not.

  • This game is hard as F***, cheated with game genie and still couldn't beat it. sound effects are priceless. love the death sound.

  • No TASes of this? That sucks. Id like to see one of those...

  • @Kzar5678 Until the emulators support soft resets while recording this game can't have a TAS :(

  • @honorablejay Why not? And I think Gens has soft reset and its re-recordable.

  • this was one hard-assed game

  • Me and my brother loved this game as kids. Guess I would have been around 8 or 9, he a couple of years younger. We could never figure out how to get past the level with all the TV screens. We were dumb kids. To this day ive still thought about it lol. So we never got to fight Maggy.

I feel a tear of nostalgia coming on. T_T

  • @TheSaggyMaster I got lucky when I figured out how to get past Mojo's level, probably about the same age as you. After arguing with my brother about what to do I just hit the reset button and wow it worked :)

  • 06:58 Matrix?

  • @paulokdash .....it has you.

  • wtf you didnt fight juggernaut

  • going up the elevator before Apocolypse and using Low Kick to match the song beats made me laugh cause i would do dumb stuff like that too as a kid.

  • Fletcher Beasley deserves a Grammy or something.

  • I think it's funny that Wolverine beats Magneto. :) Thanks for uploading this. ^_^

  • For some reason I figured that Nightcrawler would be used for a speedrun... :P

    nice job

  • sicko thx for this upload

    nice work ur pro Xd

  • Apocalypse goes down in only 3 hits?

The bosses in this game can't take much lol.

    Nice playthrough :)

  • nice speedrun, but wow...what an incredibly terrible game

  • Man I used to play this all the time as a kid, but i never found out i had to press the reset button to get to the last level. That was major bs

  • I'm looking for an X-men game that has Nightcrawler as a playable character(along with other that I can't remember) and it has a level in the Snow. Don't remember if it's from the Genesis or Super Nintendo.

    Help?

  • @Pipoca19 You're probably thinking of X-Men 2 Clone Wars for Genesis. The snow level starts as soon as you power up the game.

  • @Pipoca19 i think its x-men 2 the clone wars for sega

  • Hey man, where did you play this, at either Genesis or an emulator? I use Gens emulator, but haven't played this game yet under it 'cause maybe i won't manage to pass the level where you gotta push the reset button, since i don't know if there's a fair reset button on gens working at this game point (I already beat this game when i was a child, though). If using an emulator, how d'you reach the last level? Thanks...

  • @JoeMat1000 This run was done on a real Genesis, but all of the planning was done using Gens. To get past Mojo's Crunch, just goto File>Cpu and click Reset 68000, which should simulate hitting the reset button.

  • This...this right here...is my childhood.

  • @lolerz222 You mean....this is your childhood........getting raped.....right? :)

  • i can't hurt magneto, even using wolverine like you... why? :(

  • @stazz006 You have to wait for him to drop his shields, which he only does when he lands on those platforms. Wait out the 6 magnet balls he shoots from the start, then he'll start floating between the platforms. If you hit him too soon he'll drop to the ground and either laser blast you, or punch you across the screen. Once he touches the ground he cannot be hurt even when he drops his shields.

  • @honorablejay thanks! :)

  • developers were stupid in order to pass the second to last level you had to lightly push the reset button on the console and if time runs out its an automatic game over man thats harsh

  • you're the man...i never beat this game...i hate you couldn't use all the characters....

  • @chop11111 Epic turd actually (why you think the screen went black? it was huge).

  • why didnt he fight juggernaut on first level?

  • @InkpoisonMTA By jumping off the screen and doing a medium teleport I completely bypassed the trigger to spawn Juggernaut.

  • badass ending song

  • u literally drop kicked ur way through da game....lmao!!! with a lil help from Wolverine.

  • I remember how hard it was to find this game in any video rental store when it first came out. That was back when the Fox animated series and X-Men in general was at it's peak in popularity. I remember finally discovering a copy available for rent, and it was like finding gold.

  • I could never press the reset button right: The game always started over.

  • The second stage is so Star Trek: Voyager it's not even funny!

  • if you pick gambit while entering a level from the danger room hold a and you skip first 3 levels

  • @chessinfantry I plan on eventually doing a run that exploits this glitch, but that would be placed in another category (basically a glitched run). The plan was to do a normal run then a glitched run but I haven't gotten around to doing the glitch run yet.

  • is this the game where you reset your genesis

  • @RyanDyches Yup.

  • @honorablejay I thought that you have to reset it when he tells you to.

  • @DartUchiha Nope, you can reset as soon as you smash the computer.

  • @honorablejay Yeah I turned it on immeadiately after I watched this video. That used to be the most annoying part the game was I would finish the level too quickly and would have to wait for it to tell me reset.

  • only thing i learned was skipping juggernaut on the first level and saber tooth on the third, pretty good stuff lol, but idk why you didn't use night crawler to defeat apocalypse.

  • @DMalenfant1 Well, all of the boss fights came down to how quickly I could take em out, which meant least amount of hits and less wasted time. With Wolverine I could take him down in 3 spin attacks. With Nightcrawler I needed to bring in one of the backup players (Arch/Storm/Rogue) to take Apoc down in 3 hits. In the end, the precise timing for the backup characters was too much hit or miss, so Wolverine was used.

  • What the hell was that??

  • @heeriyujaxhunin Not much, just me running through the game as fast as I could and skipping everything possible (minus using the Gambit glitch).

  • @honorablejay not that...I heard something...like laughing..o.O...it was really messed up

  • @heeriyujaxhunin Oh yeah, right after all the credits are done the game plays Mojo's laugh before restarting at the title screen.

  • Epic. And only solidifies my notion that Nightcrawler is the greatest X-man ever.

  • @sQrLLZ In the games yea, he was the best in the arcade beat em up to and the genesis sequel, but strangely he was no where near the capcom fighters. Sucked...

  • I used to love this game back in the early '90s, when the show was on. That reseting the computer bit in Mojo's level was a bitch, but admittedly pretty clever.

  • this is pretty epic

  • i didn't know there was energy there at 5:51 !!!!

  • One of my favorite games when I was a kid I loved abusing the powers. I could never bet the game until I was older.

  • great game, nice run

  • Damn.the ending to this game sucked.

  • Well, the ending is usually longer and has some closing text, but I skipped it (if you've beaten the game before you probably noticed that).

  • @grogtgs There was no ending....

  • @HistorysMysterys Because I skipped it :)

  • @honorablejay Oh, well I'll see it soon enough, beating this game is harder than it looks.

  • I lol'd at 4:03

    Catchy

  • And Wolverine saves day.......again.

  • Aw shit.....

    "Saves the day"

    -_-;

  • that's cool how you were able to skip both juggernaut and sabertooth fights without using iceman...i like how you did this

  • Using an emulator helped out tremendously for those skips. I had to find the exact spot that would trigger the fight, then figure out how far the teleport had to be to completely bypass the fight. Too bad I couldn't use the shuttle skip :(

  • Sweet run!

  • loled at 3:59 ahahha doing the beats of the music

  • rofl

  • Comment removed

  • Wow you're good. It took me months to beat this game back in the day. I could never beat that weird level with the sentinels.

  • lol i saw that you took down your old speedrun video and put this one up so i added this as a favorite instead lol.

  • wow nice job

  • Nice run, congrats!

  • Thank you sir, just don't p on me :)
