  • Anyone know if ANZ have weigh restrictions for their Cabin Crew? I only ask as the lady serving tea at the end was quite heavy and I know most Airlines insist on Crew's weight to be in proportion to height. Im not moaning about her,(I think as long as someone is fit enough to do the job in the case of an emergency then size is not important) I'm just curious. I really wanted to apply for the LHR base a few years back but I never did as I'm 16 or so pounds overweight.

  • Wow they poured you an extra $5 dollar plastic cup of wine. So that makes them the best.

  • @terrykent123 - that wasn't the reason I gave, but if that's all it takes to win YOU across, you're a cheap and easy target, Terry!

  • 2008 - Air New Zealand STILL Provided you with inflight meals drinks and what not, whats happening now is a discrace, your lucky to even get a small punnet of water flying betweeen wellington and sydney yet alone wellington and invercargill, its a damn shame

  • Lol, youtube it on myspace, classic old New Zealanders.

  • hahaha at least ur honest

  • if there is a crazed rocker aboard ANZ, then .....all hell will break fucking loose

  • Without doubt THE best economy class I've flown in. I love the way the meal was kept light to keep it easy on your digestive system. Not to mention keeping us well-watered with a choice of wines in economy class!

  • in flight, 1 glass of wine=2

  • wohooo I feel proud to be a NZer :) Yes Air NZ is great but I prefer Singapore Airlines.

  • I'm actually scared of economy classes after I took my business class from Singapore to auk.(i'm 14) I don't want to take economy class ever.. I hope :/ (it was my first on business class)

  • @sindude300 Aren't you lucky! I'm 18 and I still fly with Economy. Not that I don't mind, it's just a cheaper seat to get to your destination.

  • @florianderl Yea your right I'm really lucky. But i don't like squeezing with other people. People always take the hand rest, really pisses me off lol. But i might be flying again in december. :D(hopefully business)

  • @sindude300 Ahh but there's something cool about Economy though. The feeling is nice, perhaps it's because you fit in with the majority of the passengers. The service is still nice, just aren't able to get as much as the higher classes. I'm flying to Europe in July, most likely with Economy, but one day I would like to travel with Business, or even First Class if I'm really lucky.

  • Gotta love Air New Zealand.

  • Air NZ, simply superb service and staff

  • Air NZ, still remember their friendly staff

  • Pacific Economy on ANZ is better than any business class on U.S. domestic flights. This video shows exactly the service level passengers experience. Good wine, not bad food at all and outstanding overall comfort.

  • Best airline ever i say =)

  • Damn, that's a lot of Asian. Never expected that an English country would have that much Asians.

  • @LastXdeth Well given the flight left from Osaka, Japan, it's not overly surprising.

  • @LastXdeth Its a flight from Osaka (In Japan) to Auckland. They need Japanese speaking people, but yes... there are alot of Asians ;D

  • dont understand how airlines still keep an old folks as flight crew! i see more old people on working for qantas too

  • @leon6266

Because the 50's and 60's are over honey! We live in a time where airlines are - thankfully - equal opportunity employers and with laws that prohibit any form of discrimination!

  • I still have some "New Zealand Air" complementary candy left in my carry on bag.

  • Air New Zealand rock!!!

  • was this just,

    standard economy?

    not premium economy.

  • Standard EY

  • HOW did you get away with filming?

Air new zealand were really pissed off with me filming anything my first ever overseas trip last year!

  • What the hell is in new Zealand ? Why the hell would people want to live there?

  • @tierren Wtf, ppl live in NZ cuz it's one of the best countries in the world.

  • @ConfuzzledCub I have been there and felt like I was in a time warp ! The women are easy due to not many different cultures visits the country. I could not wait to get back to the States !

  • @tierren Oh errrr, nice to know. Ppl from the States and ppl in New Zealand are wayyyyyyyy different..... I think. But there's a new American boy in my class, and he says he doesn't want to go back to America and stuff, but I guess it's your opinion, so that's ok.

  • How long is the flight from Osaka to Auckland? I think it is around 10 hours or so?

  • closer to 12 hours.

  • @PIREPvideos really? Don't hope so, I'm off to NZ in January from Osaka, and those long hauls are just terrible sometimes! But hopefully AirNew Zealand can make up for it :)

  • Ohh. love the abundance of wine! It must be white wine. And that your glass was filled to the brim was good. Good ole server/steward doesn't seem to know youtube. I think he has a MySpace account. Mostly japs were in it. Sadly there is not direct flight from Manila to New Zealand.

  • Air NZ is total crap. Uniforms are shit too.

  • @airnzboy You should change your user name if you think air nz is crap!

  • lol hes like im going to youtube it and then and the man is like on myspace lol

  • Air New Zealand... simply the best!!!!!!!!

  • Just flew this route last sunday/monday, great stuff. and nice video man

  • It is a great airline!

  • The whole flight is full of Asians. LOL. Even the staff!

  • @craigferris1 maybe it's flying to osaka or tokyo, hongkong, beijing etc

but i can hear japanese so i assume somewhere in japan.

  • this reminds me my friend was traveling on Lufthansa Airlines and got find 80Euros for filming

  • WTF LOADS OF ASIANS

  • that looks so cool and relaxing hope Korean and Kosovo Airlines are the same since i will be traveling with them

  • Comment removed

  • Haha ! Asians flight attendants whats wrong in hiring Maori or ordinary Kiwis???

I guess Air Pacific is the only country who trains and hire locally huh LoL

  • i agree

  • @22871987 because maori's can't speak japanese bro.

  • @rustydevilll are u saying that they are stupid?? Anyone can learn any language.

  • @22871987 No i'm saying

they don't do anything about it so why complain.

  • @rustydevilll did you know that u sound racist?????...

  • @22871987 how the fuck is that racist

calling someone lazy is not being racist!

if anything you were being racist laughing at asians and asking why there is no maori or kiwis.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE VIDEO

    there is kiwis working

they prefer asians because it's easier to communicate with japanese people ABOARD a japanese flight.

go complain about air pacific or some crap airline.

  • @rustydevilll ohhh so sad of you:( Why are you so mad, its just a response. Do some about your sugar intake, its killing you !!!

  • Looks like a very pleasant flight!

  • Air New Zealand was just voted the best airline of the year. This is amazing to beat every other airline in the world.

  • I'm flying the exact same way in three weeks time :) Spending one year in NZ. Looking forward to it a lot!

  • i reakon they should drop the 767 for the 787 but keep the b747-400 and drop the 777-200 for the 777-300

  • I think they're dumping the 747 due to it's lower fuel efficiency.

  • @Shazzadude true i neverr new that....is air nz planes flying on biofuel now ??

  • No, but it has been tested in an Air New Zealand B747-400.

  • @fs9cappo the 777-200 are not old at all

if anything they need to get rid of the 737's which they are doing so in the future :D

  • that is some friendly crew.. would love to fly the airline.. but nz is so far away :(

  • air new zealand also flys to and from various destinations around the world. if you have a look at their website you will see all the destinations they fly to : )

  • A very decent economy product.

  • Oh and btw the empty seats reminded me of another qantas flight..

it was like all empty over 100 seats empty lol.

  • i like air nz and qantas BUT

when i went on qantas i seriously thought the wing would fall off and there was ROUGH turbulence for like an hour. it scared me so badly -_-

But anyway qantas and air nz rocks :).

  • @emilyrichgal2 HAHAHA qantas wings do almost fall off

    i mean comon

their plances rip apart and their engines explode not to mention they drop in mid air :) i wouldn't fly Qantas.

  • Air New Zealand is indeed better than Qantas but then again JAL is by far the best airline! KLM are also superb.

  • @Ancupola JAL is not the best it's not even in the top airlines neither is KLM

not to mention JAL has no money.

  • yes air nz is better than quantas.... but i don't understand how Quantas can be aheaad of air nz in the best airlines in the world list! loved my service from akl to vancouver... 13 hrs!

  • I admit that i like Qantas, but Air NZ is so much better. and unistud, you can hate air NZ all you want. Just expect a lot of hate mail on your inbox..

  • @jetrc2008 Air NZ is one of the best.

  • Comment removed

  • sure, Qantas is good but air new zealand just trumps them when it comes to service. MILES ahead of Qantas.

  • I wonder why someone thumbs down'd me

i was making a comment about how Qantas is a shit company

their planes break down and their flight attendants are rude and never seem to want to serve the passengers.

Air New Zealand is one of the best airlines in the world.

they are always happy and smiling.

  • wow.. i wish I could fly on an airline that actually cared, rather then just treated me like cattle. They seemed nice.

  • Great personality for FA. great seats is why anz is in star alliance

  • You definitely wont get that with Southwestern, one of the worst airlines out there.

Air New Zealand just got my vote for if I ever fly international over there.

  • Always great service from Air New Zealand.. Great Airline.

  • air new zealand and Qantas are absolutely fantastic

  • Qantas would be better if they didn't keep breaking down.

  • 777s were pulled off the route, to cover Hong Kong and Los Angeles. If the ordered 787s arrive, there will be 777s available to put back on the route. The 747s are slowly being pulled off service because of the fuel consumption.

  • nice, very friendly. but the male fa is kinda old and tubby. LOL ;)

  • His personality was what really stood out as did the rest of the crew working with him, and THAT was what made the flight a pleasant experience - the PEOPLE, and the way those people treated their passengers.

  • Dangerous airline????, dont think so, maintenance to 3rd world countries???, dont think so, Maintenance is done at its engineering base in Auckland or the aircraft is flown back to Boeing or Airbus for major work (refurbishment etc), the smaller aircraft are sent to SAFE air which used to be the engineering side of the NZ airforce, Air nz has had only one big crash in its history and that was the Mt Erubus crash in Antarctica back in 1979, check out Qantas's safety record of late, not good

  • Bad safety record? Elaborate.....

...and also this policy that you're talking about...

If you hate them, don't watch these videos I mean fuckin c'mon...

  • What a bummer now that Air New Zealand has replaced the B777 with the slower, and not as comfortable 767.

I took the flight from Japan to Chch in the 777 and it was around 11 hours.

In the 767 it was 12 hours.

    NEVER AGAIN!

The staff are so tolerant, but the customers are NOT!

Dump the 767's and replace them with the 777s if you want to win back customers, Air NZ.

  • They do a mixture of 767 and 777 flights to Tokyo and all 767s to Osaka, except for when they have a 777 leave from Tokyo and then stop off at Osaka before heading back to NZ.

  • Gimme the Triple 7 over the 76 any time - better configuration, and a little bit faster, which means a shorter trip.

  • they are dumping the 767's at some stage when their 787's arrive

thats when their B 747s will retire also and they are bringing in 777 300 series. :)

  • They would have Retired the 767's by now but because the 787 are so late they decided to keep them for a few more years

  • Air New Zealand is the shit for flying to Australia or NZ. TVs on every International flight and they have great food.

  • wtf who films that

  • That looks very good in the front section of Economy Class. We call it Economy Plus... Looks like you had a great time flying... Yeah, the crew in Economy seems very nice... Sometimes, I worked Economy Plus and Regular Economy but once I was promoted to Purser. It was First Class and Business sections all the time.....

  • Wow., the male attendant is very nice and friendly... so cool.

  • sure that's what i want on my flight, a bunch of drunken bastards. when do they start passing out the weed?

  • Air New Zealand is definitely my favourite airline...they have just done up most of their planes interior so where ever you fly you can expect to be comfortable. Air NZ closely followed by South African Airways believe it or not!!

  • You mean those Asian sweatshop airlines discriminate by choosing people how they look, instead of their ability.

She probably wouldn't want to work in any of those carriers anyway, they pay peanuts, compared with what Air New Zealand pays - that's because QUALITY counts.

Those slimline 20-something Asian sweatshop F/As, will all be fat, unemployed Momas in another 10 years - think about that!

  • Singapore, Hong Kong and the U.A.E. are all richer than New Zealand, giving their airline employees higher salaries... Maybe not Malaysia Airlines though... Point is, your comment isn't valid.

  • Wow, where do you get off making comments like that.

  • I have flown Thai, Emirates, Singapore, Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Blue, Lufthansa and I still prefer Air New Zealand over all of them. Exspecially now. There economy is more or less the same as emirates, you can choose what you want to watch or listen to. Fly economy across the ditch is better with Air NZ. They fly the A320 mostly, smaller planes means less people for the flight attendants to serve means faster service for you. Will fly Air NZ when ever i can.

  • Not a fan of Air NZ.

  • AIR NZ its grat

  • I don't know what it is like on a Singapore Airlines A380 but I doubt that it would be much bigger experience than flying on an Air NZ Jumbo. Service was excellent! Keep on doing it this way! A satisfied costumer.

  • i flew on the A380 from london to singapore and the seats were hard and service was slow i hated it i prefer Air NZ as well

  • same here

  • BTW make sure you get some Kiwifruit biscuits on your next Air New Zealand flight! they are the worlds greatest biscuit if you ask me...simply divine!

  • Dave Lovelace!!!!!

  • where you flying to and from ?

  • air nz is the best. we know that!

  • Where were you heading to on this flight?

  • Christchurch (from Kansai, Osaka).

  • Comment removed

  • ha ha myspace! Im on that flight in may!

  • That flight looks pretty chilled out :) . I always fly on Air France :). Service is good on there too !

  • Air new zealand is the best airline to go on, took it when i went to sydney then darwin with stuupid fuckin Ansett australia

  • leon6266

you say that because you are Aussie

fact Air New Zealand are 4 star airline same with Qantas

  • Air new zealand FTW.

    flew them from.

    AKL - HK

    and then

    PVG(shanghai pudong) - AKL

    service was like..awesome.

and the flight attendant didn't get pissy

at me fro ordeing a can of coke every 20 minutes

    :)

  • I've recently flown Auckland-Beijing return and Auckland-Tokyo return, and I've been impressed with the service both times. The entertainment systems are great as well, and the meals are tasty. I wouldn't mind seeing what premium economy (or maybe business if I'm lucky) is like.

  • Oh, and my tip is to book the seats with nothing in front of them,(exit rows) brilliant seats, especially if you're tall.

  • OMG! That's what I do. And I did it on an Air New Zealand flight from Auckland to Narita (Tokyo) and then again from Kansai (Osaka) to Auckland. haha. You shouldn't spread our secret! And yes I agree the Air NZ service is the best. I was on a quantas flight to perth and the aircon wasn't working and it was 28 degrees in the cabin, I was sweating like a fat man.

  • Yeah i agree it doesnt look like Air NZ but looks more Asian airline

  • fuck you air nz is the best

  • Great video!! What aircraft is this

  • 777-200ER

  • I thought pinot noir was red????

  • It is. I think he meant to say Pinot Gris lol.

  • Its great to see a video that will finally shut up the other Youtube morons. I have personally flown Air NZ last year from Singapore Changi to Auckland on an ANZ 767-300ER before the aircraft was retired. The service was amazing and the staff were very friendly and the overall experience was great. I laughed when you said that guy was hitting on that bird. Regarding the meal choices of Beef and Chicken. You'd think that coming from Japan the Japanese people would be sick of eating fish? LOL

  • Flown Air New Zealand from Auckland to Los Angeles many times and they never fail to amaze me with there great service. Excellent airline!

  • Qantas Staff are very Rude

I flew to Sydney once from Auckland And i asked the flight attendent for some Coke

and she gave me a evil look and shes like HERES YOUR COKE!

  • the same happend to me when i asked for some sugar for my tea D:

  • Well it's time to do a spot check on Air NZ again, so expect a new video soon.

  • I had that Steward on a flight from Los Angeles to Auckland.... He is a funny, friendly guy!!!

    small world!

  • Friendly service. Makes me want to fly Air New Zealand next time.

  • People shouldn't say bad things about someones appearance as the basis of a good airline. People like you should take the BUS ! Got it?

  • IT WAS IN WHAT FLIGHT????

  • KIX-CHC (Kansai (Japan) to Christchurch (NZ)

    Why are you shouting?

  • air new zealand = A+

    Qantas = E-

  • Thanks for posting! Glad to see someone who appreciates good service and tells others about it as opposed to all those cynics out there (many of whom are posting here it seems).

  • "The world best airlines are based in South-East Asia." - yeah, right, like Adam Air, Jetscar Asia, Tiger.

"Based on this video, crew are quite ugly and presentation is quite bad." - I'll admit my video skills are poor, just like your comments!

"The old bloke doesn't know what is You tube." - Really? How do you know that?

"I will never fly with ANZ." - Thank God! Promise?!

I'll be flying with them again Dec 13&14 to CHC, and I'm looking forward to their excellent and friendly service!

  • U only know a few airlines in South-East-Asia? Or Tiger is the only airline that u can afford to fly? How many people in the world heard about ANZ? Dumped staff are only just perfect for dumped passengers like u. ANZ can't even compete with the closest competitor Qantas. In fact, ANZ is operating on some leased aircrafts. So poor. I wish that they can afford to pay u in dead compensation when u crush with them. Don't forget about New Zealand's economy as well.

  • you sound like someone who doesn't fly alot :)

  • Well their base is at the borrom of the world, so yeah, it might be a bit hard for Air New Zealand to expand, especially with New Zealands small population. But for the size of New Zealand, and its location, I would think they are one of the best in the world, in fact, according to skytrax, they already are before you consider that.

    So there.

  • I don't decide which airline to fly with based upon whether or not the Flight Attendants know what YouTube is...

  • Thanks for not flying Air NZ. It will be to the benefit of both yourself and the people who do fly Air NZ.

  • No need to thank me as I'll never pay a cent to the Air NZ. Unlike people in NZ, I have too many airlines to choose from. I'll only choose an airline that has good reputation.

  • Comment removed

  • airline breaks down? Where did I say that? Who the hell are you and asking me question? Is ur dad working in Air NZ?

  • They are crap for service trans-Tasman but they are good for long haul.

  • it depends which aircraft you fly on.

then again what the hell do you want for 3 hour's?

    Luxury or a cheap flight?

  • Are you sure it is air New Zeland!!! I think it is air Japan or China!!!!!!

  • Are you stupid?

  • no, is it you

  • that's a 747?

  • That's a Boeing triple7 - a T7, better known as a B777 (not sure if it was a -200 or 300 series)

  • 200 -because air new zealand have only 777-200ER series!!

  • then why say it's a 747

  • because the cuestion "taht's a 747?" is older than the 200 because air new zealand have only 777-200ER series!!

  • -200ER, the only type in NZ fleet.

  • wow thats fukn great for economy class wooohooaaa hw du air nz exploit their asian flight attendants u nobbb air nz rules wish the food was hangi though

  • Air New Zealand is an awesome airline they have friendly staff and great service! oh and i like their food lol and the ice cream lolz yumm

  • They are always very profession as well as friendly and entertaining.
