This sure is an awesome amplifier. However, considering the price of it, how'd you compare it to say... a Peavey 5150, Peavey Triple XXX or even the Bugera 6262 when it comes to value - sound, versatility and impression versus price?

I am seriously looking into getting my first tube amp, and any form of response would be greatly appreciated.

@ChristopherSchackt I can honestly tell you that the XXX is not really worth it.  I own a 5150 and I played in a band with a guy who had a XXX, I couldn't stand that amp. Fuzzy, gross sounding and seriously lacks balls. I would, however, highly suggest the 5150 or even the Bugera equivalent. Both amps are awesome sounding for the price and will greatly out perform the XXX. You might even be able to find a used 5150 for cheaper than a new Bugera.

In an ordinary room without any acoustic treatment whatsoever, using only a shure sm57,an apogee one( aside from the amp and guitar) and Logic 9 recording software, you can get this kind of tone , right?
