The whole 2006 tour was a treat for the hardcore Radiohead fans. If you caught 'em during the theater tour, you were treated with old, old, old favorites (Let Down, Black Star, Planet Telex) and rare occurences (I Want None of This was only played four times the entire tour! True Love Waits was always played before EIIRP on the final four shows).
"Let Down" to me is one of the greatest songs ever written. In history. Ever. There is no doubt in my mind this is the greatest band working today. Arcade Fire, BSS, Animal Collective? Ya gotta bow down to the veterans here. "In Rainbows" was a magnum opus too.
wow, i didn´t know that they still play this beautiful song, even when it was played three years ago. I wish i could listen it someday live too, lucky people who where there.
One of my favorite Radiohead songs. So full of depth and interweaving melody, the way the song turns as it nears the climax, the gentle but not overpowering effects used in the album version... it's everything I love about OK Computer-era Radiohead.
Rolling Stone had a great article (don't hear that often) about the evils of sound compression in recent recordings: this song is a perfect example of why songs are better without compression.
Great point. His timing is way off at first. I like it when Thom sings this version instead of just (you know where you aaarrreeee) (at 3:54) I think that on the other RH Let Down videos he sings the other part. Thanks!
you mean "you know where you are, floor collapsing, FLOATING, bouncing back and one day I am going to grow wings, a chemical reaction etc etc..." sorry lol.. Just thought I would put ya straight... Awesome band... best band ever?????
by a reason this song makes me so happy... hate idiots who tells that stupid panic and bee makes better versions? they just try to copy radiohead but noone makes better than em! they are unique
This song is the epitome of good pop music. Period. I saw it live as their encore when they played here in L.A. on April 1, 1998. (Yes I remember the date) It moved me beyond belief.
crap! I can't believe I had to leave the uk a few hours after this show so I couldn't see this beautiful song live! I went to both blackpool shows, though... can't complain!

I love this song and video, but it demonstrates the one potential problem with having a perfect studio recording of a song. They will never top it.

And yea that guy who yells "stop whispering" doesn't deserve to be that close at a Radiohead show.

I LOVE how Thom alters the song a bit differently at the end when he sings
"A chemical Reaction"
Rather than singing the usual
"You know where you are"
I love this song to death and wish I can hear it live someday.

I'm a little annoyed that they didn't do the climax, instead reverting to the earlier verses and chorus, but hey. :) It's Let Down.
Here's hoping they pull it out this year.
