I prefer monica for her classy approach and hidin her her range at times and playin it low, beyonce is great but she is a bit overdramatic and over commercialized. We need them both in the game.

Then compare that with B-Day. Clearly Beyonce needed the group to gain popularity. Monica SHITTED! & for 1 Beyonce isn't a Soprano, at least not a regular soprano. She's a Mezzo (Soprano). Anyway, Beyonce has more range, but Monica's tone is so freaking rich & full, & her vibrato is on point & she can sustain notes so easily. & her runs, ab-libs are to die for. When you saw Beyonce without the band at around 5 minutes, she didn't have the magic Monica did without.

Her vocals are always the same and have only gotten a little rusty through the years. Now if this was the 90's I would pick monica but now Beyonce would out sing her.
